What up mini family?! I can't believe I haven't showed you this picture yet, but here's the vampire all assembled!
It's crazy that this project has gone from idea, to concept, to sculpt, to cast. It's here in my hands! There are a few kinks to work out and then we can begin production casting. I'm very excited! I think that this model is the best model I could ask for given that this is my first time producing one. I say producing knowing that all I did was fund the project and supply my vision, similar to a movie producer. It could be better, but it's pretty great.
Next up, what's the deal with the podcast, Scott!? Well, right now I have Jon researching the technical details of where we're going to host the thing, and in the meantime the logo is all done. Feast your eyes!
It's pretty great, we're really happy with it. Now we just need to sort out some other small details and we can begin doing this thing regularly.
In regards to what videos I've been working on this week, it's been kind of a bumpy ride. On Monday, I had started painting a video for a KS campaign. You may have seen the model in last week's BTS post.
I worked on this for a good 10hrs and then found out that the KS was temporarily paused for IP theft (surprise surprise). The publisher of the KS decided he wanted to put the video on hold, which kind of sucked because I had lost almost a whole day to working on it but makes sense. The next day I pivoted and painted the Funko POP! Space Marine for a different sponsored video.
This little guy took me around 12 hours to paint. Not too shabby. This will be the video that comes out for early release on Friday.
Lastly, I have a confession to make: I am pretty terrible at fulfilling merch. I have the black metal beanie in my basement, I just haven't shipped them out yet. So in order to rectify the situation, I'll be packaging them up and shipping them out next week! That's all for now, don't forget to PAINT MORE MINIS!
