What up, mini family?!

This week was full of painting! Some time ago I made a "live session" video of me getting a blend on a space marine. I liked this idea as it shows the honest process of what goes into achieving an effect, it performed well on youtube, and it was easy to produce. I decided to do 2 more videos in that style. The first one was painting a face. I'm not the best face painter, so I had a go at some faces to practice.

This is my progress from left to right. I figured some things out along the way that I share in the video. I think the problem with the video is that I tend to ramble about stuff because it's hard to focus on both painting and talking coherently. I could possibly narrate over it later, but then you lose the "stream of consciousness" thing. This video was pretty hard to do because having the camera stay in focus for the entire ~45 minutes on a tiny head was...challenging. I messed up a few times. Another idea I had for a good live session would be painting a NMM weapon.

I picked up an axe/halberd thing because I think it's interesting to have to deal with not only the edge of the weapon, but also the flat part. These two videos are going to give me some breathing room to start working on my creature caster video! A long while back, I showed you guys a concept for a "plastic crack" t-shirt was working on. Well, I gave him some feedback and now have this:

The concept is humorous and playful. I might accompany the release of this shirt with a funny skit riffing off the idea of literal plastic crack. That's all for now!

PAINT MORE MINIS!

The design looks cool and is funny, but I think it won't be so clear and understandable on a t-shirt. Its overall shape isn't good enough to look good on a chest in my opinion. Definitely cool for a sticker for sure! Can't wait to see the new movies!

Hello, I just want to tell you that it doesn't really "read" well that its plastic, I don't know what the final size would be, but its very hard to distinguish the models until you look closely, I think it would be a little awkard to look at this from a distance.

Thank you for the feedback! In the final drawing the desk will be more fleshed out and there will be some lettering added to it saying "plastic crack" to drive it home
