What up mini family?!

This week I've resumed work on my "Homecoming" diorama. If you forgot about that diorama, or you're not sure what I'm talking about, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlLZAcTBAjw

The first thing to do was to get started on the plinth.

Seems somewhat trivial. I I cut a 60mm x 60mm blank out of some 3"x3" pine that I had. I eyeballed the length, as it doesn't matter. I then angled in the sides so instead of a square on top, you see a trapezoid. My idea was was that I wanted to draw people's attention to the middle of plinth, which is where the witch will be. I wish Crystal Brush allowed for a larger base for Single Figure - Fantasy. You could do a lot more! Next, I attached a sheet of styrene to the back of my plinth to operate as my backerboard to attach everything to and to set my max height of 75mm.  After looking at some old wooden churches from the 15th and 16th century, I decided I wanted the doorway to protrude out of the main wall. This will give the piece more dimension. So I bulked up that area with some high density foam.

Next I started to work on the door itself. I based the size off of 32mm scale. I looked up what a normal entrance door is and figured out the dimensions and then I compared a malifaux figure to the door and realized it was far too small, haha. So, I'll be redoing this.

Something else also happened; today in fact. WE HIT 300 PATRONS! It doesn't feel like that long ago we hit 200 patrons! I'm so very excited to see a burst in growth on patreon. I've been blessed with repeated growth month after month and I couldn't be happier for it. Thank you guys, so very much.

PAINT MORE MINIS!
