Woohoo! BTS Post!

This week I got my wisdom teeth removed!

Besides that, I worked on a video about glazing, as you know! Here's what I tested/demonstrated:

1. Blending a transition between two distinct colors

2. Developing a shadow on a basecoat

3. Developing a highlight on a basecoat

4. Compared inks v.s. paint for glazing

5. Compared water, vallejo glaze medium, and lahmian medium for glazing

6. Demonstrated the technique on a miniature

7. Tested whether or not the white material in glaze medium actually changes the color of the paint itself

Other than that, I went and picked up my miniatures for my two Canadian classes in Courtice, ON from Jim, the owner of Darksword miniatures. He's such a nice guy not only for sponsoring the class, but just to talk to as well.

This is the miniature for the advanced class. He has a lot of interesting volumes which will be great when demonstrating how to place highlights and shadows.

This is the miniature for the beginner class. I picked this lady because she has lots of interesting textures which will pop when applying an acrylic wash.

That's all for now, until next time!

I'm looking forward to that video on glazing. It looks super interesting, and doing a comparison of the different medium is a great idea! Can't wait to see the results.

I've watched the Numbface video about 3-4 times in a row. Gets better with every loop!
