We got a gear heavy post!

1. All that gear I talked about last week showed up! I'd like to talk about what needs each piece of gear fulfills.

The Cinevate Duzi 4 is a slider. My previous slider was pretty terrible for getting nice buttery smooth slides. Sliders in general are great for adding motion to your shot but they require some skill to use. Even a slight hand shake will transmit to the camera no matter how slow and gradual the move is. This slider is special because the carriage the camera sits on has a fly-wheel built in, meaning it's counter weighted, if you give it a push, the momentum stored up in the flywheel will move the carriage itself for a few inches. Bonus: I can set it up on light stands instead of tripods which means I can use the stands I already have!

The Sacthler ACE M is a great tripod. My old tripod was struggling to hold the weight of my camera rig up but this guy doesn't even blink. In addition to that, it's not very heavy, it has a leveling bowl head, drag controls, and counter balances installed in the head. If you guys are curious what these things do, I could possibly do a behind the scenes video. Let me know!

The Sennheiser G4 wireless kit will allow me to get above average audio while being anywhere in the frame w/o needing to set a mic up. This will allow me to create interesting framing, and setting changes w/o having to haul around a boom mic and w/o needing to be close to the camera's mic.

2. I finished the sponsored video on time, I just sent it off for review. Here's the miniature I painted in the video that one of the $10 patrons will win:

3. Next I'm working on the video that announces the winners to the Miniac Meat Grinder! I'm going to give everyone feedback in that video. It might be an uninteresting video. In my announcement video, I shared advice on competitive painting, but for this video, I'm not sure what to do to keep it interesting.

Thanks for all your love and support, see ya next week!
