1. This week I'm off to New York for my 5th year anniversary with my wife, so I had to plan an easy video for this Friday because I'm essentially losing a week's worth of editing/painting time (but gaining vacation). So I have a funny skit coming out this Friday all about terrible miniature painting advice. I hope you like it. In terms of production, it was all hand held. I picked up a new microphone specifically for mounting on top of my camera for more "mobile" shooting. It's the Rode Video Mic Pro, it's a classic.
I shot it on my GH4 and my 12-35mm f/2.8 Panasonic lens, because it has image stabilization and it helps with smoothing out some of the shaky hand held footage.

3. I started working on the metallics thinning video. I'm testing with all sorts of thinners, and I'm checking for shininess, opacity, flow, and leveling with all of them. Here's what I'm testing with:
The video is going to be shot in an unscripted way. Here's my very cramped setup:
As thoughts come to my head, I'll turn the camera on and form some cohesive thought, and then decide later during the edit if that information is useful and relevant.
