Weekly Blog Post 9/3/22 Timed Thieving Missions (Patreon)

Hey there everyone and welcome back to yet another week of news regarding the next King's Fall Update!

With August behind us and September finally here, we're not gearing up to finish out this update and have it out at the end of the month. 

We've been busy making sure the new content is flowing as it should but with it, comes a brand new mechanic we hope you all enjoy!

Now if you've missed the last few Blog Posts, we are adding a brand new Wanderer to the game. A Thief named Valerie. This character when fully unlocked and finally on board with joining The Ardyn, will unlock a system. Timed Missions.

How these will work is it will assist with gathering certain rewards all the while you play the rest of the game. These missions begin at 10, 20, and 30 Minute Missions. 

Once Valerie takes one of the missions, you are thrown into a screen that will randomly pick if the Mission is Successful or a Failure.

If Successful, Valerie will instantly steal and will enter a recovery state. This state will depend on the Minutes so say if she went on a 10 Minute Mission, you will need to wait 10 Minutes before she goes out on another one. 

If she Fails she will simply be forced into the recovery chance and you will have to try again later. That's not to see someone who is on a more Corruption path may want to say... Push Valerie to make the mission successful... Through any means possible. Those on the Lovers path will just have to tell her to try again next time. 

But more of these Missions will unlock as you play through the story. The longer the wait, the better the Rewards.

A 30 Minute Mission for example allows one to maybe get an Old Maple Coin, free exp, or quite a few Gachapon Tickets. All in all it's a neat little system that players can have in the background while they're off in the main story, side story, or to help off set the grind in some aspects. 

 This system will also be tied to future Clashes so a 30 Minute Mission may greatly increase your War Readiness Meter. Plenty of options there for it!

Don't want to spoil too much but so far Valerie is shaping up to be a very interesting character and has melded with the main story cast extremely well. We can't want to show her story!

This will wrap up our Blog Update as we gear up for more news next week involving a more Corruption focused update for a majority of people who were asking where it was.
