Weekly Blog Post 12/6/20 Mushroom Castle and the 24 Hour Quest! (Patreon)

Hi everyone and welcome back to another week of news for the next update of King's Fall!

This week we had more time to really sit down and discuss many things and with it we've finally put the finishing touches on a brand new type of Quest called the 24 Hour Quest. I'll explain this in just a minute but first let's talk about a brand new map we're adding to the game.

To those that have wondered about the large portal that rests just above Asuna's home in An Empty Town, we now have an answer for you! This is the newest set of maps that are coming in Ellinia part 2 as optional content. How this works is once you've completed most of Asuna's content as part of the Story, you'll now receive a Letter from Asuna (The Letter system is coming back!) This letter will tell the Hero that of late, the Portal has been sending out earthquakes to An Empty Town and Asuna's wants you and her to explore what's going on. 

Once inside you'll find yourself in a weird dimension where Mushrooms are the main population and they very much need help. After staging a coup, a mushroom named The Prime Minister has seated himself as the leader of this Kingdom and has thrown out the King and all his loyal subjects. It is the Hero's job to breach the castle, defeat thousands of Penguins, 3 Yeti Kings, and face off against The Prime Minister. The reward... Well that's a bit of a secret BUT the greater reward is access to current and future 24 Hour Quests!

This screen shows you the next big boss we're adding to the game and the PERFECT chance to really test out The Knight's Whirlwind(Trust us... You'll need it!) Now, after you've completed the Mushroom Kingdom storyline, you'll be rewarded with an item that will now allow you to revisit the Story Once every 24 Hours. Why would I do that you may ask... Because the rewards are among the most valuable in the game. 

We've spoken about a new addition to King's Fall, being these items called Coupons. Coupons are extra Cheats we're handing out to better help you get more Meso, EXP, and Drop Rates ON TOP of the current system settings. For cleaning the 24 Hour Quest you'll be able to claim some of the Coupons as a reward. The reward is random but no matter what you'll get a Coupon for your hard work. This is just one way we're handing out these Coupons. There will be numerous other ways to get them in the future like from Boss Drops or very difficult quests. Still you'll now have more chances to twist the game to your liking. 

While right now you'll only be able to try the Mushroom Castle 24 Hour Quest; once a day, soon we'll add more spots so you can cycle through them more in a single day! Mushroom Castle is only going to be the 1st area we're adding a 24 Hour Quest so check back for further updates on the next location! 

This will wrap up this week's Blog Post as we're in the middle of adding in many other side content to go along with the finale for the Ellinia Storyline.
