Weekly Update Blog 3/16/20 The Admin Rewrite and Quest Tracker Progress (Patreon)

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Weekly Blog!

This week will be a bit smaller in terms of what I will talk about since my job has been a shit show because of the Corona Virus (Wash your damn hands and stop panicking!) but I was able to write a bit more today as baka put some work into the quest tracker. 

The Quest tracker is still being built so I don't have a screenshot of how the new Quest Window  will look like but I do have some details about it. 

Each quest will give you a Hint as to what you have to do to complete the quest. When that quest is done, the system will load in the next one but there will be a hint on how to start it. Pretty much all quests will sandwhiched with hints on how to start it/find it and how to complete it. For now there are other specifics but we will wait until we actually have the window ready to show you all how it will work. 

Because of the Corona Virus it's been slow since our real lives are being effected but we're still working hard on the next smaller update. 

The good news is I do have something to share with you all. 

Admin is being completely rewritten! Before Admin was that one crazy bitch that didn't really have a lot of depth nor a lot of likeability. Fun fact she was the first NPC I wrote when we started the project. I wanted to more or less just turn her into a character that the player could just forget about it but as the project grew I wanted to change her to be more meaningful. 

The current Admin will be more open, less insane, a bit manipulative as she uses her body to further her own plans, and more open. Writing content for a character that is supposed to be insane is very difficult so I had written myself into a corner way back when we launched the demo. Now it's going to progress with better fluidity and I hope you enjoy the better evolving of her adult scenes as they get peppered in more. 

Here is a quick teaser of what you can expect with the new Admin.

As you can see she is a lot more poignant and that will show on her new quests. As I mentioned earlier I decided to make her more Dominant and very manipulative. She knows she has a great body and a gorgeous face and she will use that to further her gains. What are her gains? Well let me talk about that a bit. 

When starting a new game you will see that Admin's intro quest hasn't changed. She is still bat shit insane and all over the place. What HAS changed is that Hero will ask why Admin is like the way she is. You will talk with Sam and Roger and discover her backstory and find out that her madness was being induced. Once you cure the issue and progress with Maple Story as usual you will come back when you acquire the Book of Kings and discover the new Admin quests. Her goals are to start up a Fan Club that she will lead to better the lives of the people on Maple Island. By using her sex appeal and other sources she will try to spread good will. 

That's all I will say on the matter since I don't want to spoil what comes next BUT I will say her new content will tease what her Character Quest will be like in Henesys Part 2. There will be plenty of new scenes with her coming in so with this next update, you will see what we have in store for you!*

Now Admin isn't the only character getting new content in the early game. Mai will also be getting a few more things here and there, mainly to give her character some more depth and to also tease the player a bit more with some XXX stripping scenes.

Next week I will talk about Mai and hopefully some more updates on the Quest Tracker.
