Weekly Blog Update 12/23/19 The Library and Progress Report (Patreon)

Welcome back to another Weekly blog update!

It's the last blog update before Christmas so we're ready to show what we have been cooking the last 2 weeks.

First off here is how every town is looking quest wise.

As you can see the NPC's on Maple Island have received new quests but also Hidden Spots have also increased. I will be talking about why that is at a later Blog Update. There is also a mysterious new NPC added on top of that. Hmmmm. I wonder who that is? Guess you will have to wait and find out!

Now on to Lith Harbor

These NPC's are still be worked on but some of them will be getting quests to help you get more items and money early on. Hidden Spots have also been added but more on that later!

And now Henesys

Now Henesys hasn't grown too much since the last progress report but we have been working on The Domain a lot which has pulled some attention away from Henesys. Still there is a lot to see and do. In the coming weeks we will be doing Meet and Greets with the NPC's in Part 1 of Henesys. They will tell you who they are, what they do, and what you will see in their questlines. 

Now The Domain won't be getting a Quest List like the above pictures but we're working on ways to tell you when stuff is available to see in The Domain and unravel the Conspiracy. More on that also later. For now we are looking at 30+ Quests and about 14 new NPC's you will be able to see around The Domain. Again you will be able to go in and out of The Domain after your first visit. This is so you can learn about NPC's, see memories, and other things about The Conspiracy at your leisure. 

As I continue to add content Baka has been very busy working on something insanely useful. We call it the Library. 

The button to activate it will be place in the top right corner. What the library does it gives you access to EVERYTHING!

This is what you see when you bring up the Library. As you can tell you know have access to every single Weapon, Armor, Item, etc in the game. Not only will you be able to see what weapons are part of each Class but you will get detailed notes on where you will get them.

Something like a Blue Potion will show you what it does, who drops it, and if you can buy it, you can see which shopkeeper has it.

On top of this we have added a small type of guide you can see whenever.

Say you want a bunch of Red Potions, you don't want to buy them so you say "What quest will give me a bunch of them?" You can now see what NPC will reward you with whatever item available. As you can see Jean in Lith Harbor has the Red Potion as a reward by doing his quests. An extremely useful feature.

The Library will always be of use and has many uses from finding items, weapons, etc. You can now plan to a more meticulous degree in what you want and how you want to get things. We at BGE believe player choice is important. Just as there are different ways to complete a quest, there is now more ways to learn about things in game. 

The Library is just about done with only a few minor things missing but it will be of full use in the Henesys update. 

We still don't have a release date as our artist is still trying to finish his own commissions to live on but once we get artwork for Asuna we will know when things are ready to be completed. Until then we are still adding content to the game to flesh out every single town and area. There will also be more early game rewards so you can get to Henesys faster!

Next week we will be talking about new item types, greeting a new NPC, and what the plan for January 2020 will be. We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas!
