Hello everyone!

Just wanted to put out my activities here for the coming weeks! I will be working on commission requests/sketches for this week, hopefully giving me some time to upload a few pending Patreon WIPs by next week before the month is over.

  • Space Senior rewards will be uploaded around the 29th to the 31st.

On November 5, I will be pausing the billing cycle for my Patreon page. This means that, on December 1, you will not be charged for your November pledges. The reason is that I may not be able to post art frequently here, not enough anyway to justify your pledges. I will only be pausing November 2021 in the meantime, and will see if I can be afforded time in December to start doing more art.

I was thinking of unlaunching my Patreon, but for those who would still like to subscribe and accesspast art, I decided leaving my Patreon open was the best course. This post will be made public and pinned so for those who are interested in pledging may be able to read this and not be surprised at the lack of activity.

The reason for this somewhat semi-hiatus is that my mother was recently diagnosed with Stage 3B breast cancer. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic is still in full swing, we cannot hire a caretaker to assist us in her treatment and it falls to all of us in the family to be there for her. This means I have less time to do my art as I also have to contend time with my job that primarily supports me financially. In the coming weeks, my life will revolve around my work, home and the hospital, on top of dealing with household utilities that my mother would be doing if it weren't for her diagnosis. Frankly, I may not have time for myself or for my hobbies for quite some time. I wish I could still devote time for my art but I cannot leave my job as it's the only thing financially supporting me right now, and I don't make enough from my art to handle my utility expenses (e.g. electricity, food, phone bills, etc.) Unfortunately, that means I have to let something go, and it just happens to be my own passion projects.

For those who are part of the commission waiting list, rest assured that I will still be doing those. There may be delays from time to time as I do have to assist my mother in all her medical and laboratory examinations, as well as meeting with her doctors and her treatment team taking most of my time.

  • However, if you would like to withdraw your commission request for whatsoever reason, please don't hesitate to let me know via the private messaging system here on Patreon or on my social media.

I've always been grateful for everyone's support here, and for your generosity. I wish I could still push through with so many plans I had for the rest of the year, with Halloween and Christmas coming up. Those things, I'll have to set on the back burner indefinitely, and I'm hoping that - with my mother's hopeful prognosis - I would be able to return to art and enjoy it.

Thank you everyone!

So sorry to hear that about your mom, I hope and pray for a healthy recovery for her. My mom also had breast cancer, so if there’s anything I can do or help with, I would love to know. ❤️ Wishing for the best for her.

That is the best decision, the art can wait. I hope for the best for your mother and you. ♡

Thank you so much for the offer! I'll definitely let you know if there's anything I need to ask especially when it comes to treatment. So far we're relatively ok and hopeful with her prognosis, it's just so much of our time will be devoted to her treatment since support goes a long way

Thanks so much Ellie! Yes, as much as it pains me not being able to freely draw like before, I'd rather devote my free time to assisting my mom especially since I also need to juggle my work too
