Not sure if this (Sonic fanfic) is to anyone's fancy, but I've worked on this story on-and-off for years just for shits and giggles; it's gone through various forms and while there's loads more to it, here's a big chunk.

I don't expect it to be everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully the big read that it is (21000 words in this part) makes up for that somewhat.
