Welcome to December! If you are in the Northern Hemisphere then you might be cold! But spare a thought for the Australians who are set for one of the hottest summers ever. We should all do our bit for the environment! I am cycling and walking more instead of taking my car and recycling all my waste.

The most inspiring build of the month has to be the castle by DukonRed1.  This server is on the darwin-reforged server and can be reached by:

 To visit this build download conquest reforged for JAVA edition PC at https://conquestreforged.com/downloads. Make sure you have java installed, I chose the .jar file and run it. Wait for it to install then run the launcher file.  You might want to install it to a folder on your desktop if you have any problems. Then join the darwin reforged server at play.darwinreforged.com then do /warp lumiere 

This castle is absolutely stunning! The detail inside is outstanding. Dukonred has also included a massive basement which winds down into the hill and is supposedly where Elves used to live.  There are royal quarters, kitchens, towers, prisons, guard towers and much more! 

Above you can see the extensive underground labyrinth! This castle took over a year to build but turned out superbly.  

Building with a mod-pack is not for everyone I guess and when you get on the server you have a steep learning curve as there are many, many more possible blocks than normal minecraft.  But, if you stick with it it is possible to create some stunning designs. This really is a 3D community art project!

Server News

We will be moving server host companies. This will mean a few things.  I will have to start being strict on jedirebels only being able to build in their plot.  We will not be bring bigplots with us as it is too big (like Jabba the Hutt Butt). If you would like any of your builds saved from your big plot then select it with world edit and do //schematic save NAME.  Make the name like this: MMMMyourname-buildname.  For example MMMMandyisyoda-castle.  The new server will have 400x400 plots and only one per person.  Guests will be able to access the new server but will not be able to get a plot or talk. John and I are working on the new server this week. We hope to make the move in a few days but please bare with us as there will be quite a few teething problems to get sorted.  The new server will have a map called jakku which will have all our flat maps, trees and vehicles.  We will be keeping and continuing with Kalak.  We will have the old flat map called jedicity from which to copy builds to Kalak.

In Kalak please only build houses and stores if you are Jediknight. If you are Jedimaster or higher you can build what you like.  Please build in plots which are outlined in wool.  Jedimasters and above can take over districts and make new plots - just ask a skywalker or john or me! The old twitch map will be coming so dragonmaster can finish his little boat!

There will be a possibilty for a survival server at some point but the priority will be creative for now.

Personal News

For the whole of November I have been without heating as my gas boiler which provides hot water for the radiators and the taps/showers has been broken.  The first repair guy I booked did not turn up! The second one did but he snapped off a valve! Still waiting on him coming back!! Queue lots of violins in the background....

I went down to youtube HQ for a meeting.  There was a talk by the director of YT UK, some coaching from someone who works with brand and lots of other tips and tricks. We were also lucky enough to be given a nice leather bag! YT put us all up in a nice hotel and when I got there, there was an umbrella on the bed. I thought the hotel had left it there and did not open it - if I did I would have seen YouTube branding... The next day I went to YT HQ, which in London is behind the google HQ at Kings Cross. On the second day I checked out of the hotel and arrived at YT HQ again but they asked me where my umbrella was! They then actually sent a google employee back to the hotel to get it!! But, when I was getting of the train on the way home I left it on the train :( So, there is a YT branded umbrella kicking around somewhere on a train. RIP andy's umbrella!!!
