Firstly, a BIG thanks to all Patrons! Your support means the world for me and means I am now able to bring you more content than ever before.  Nearly daily videos and plenty of live streams on Youtube and also on Twitch.  If you are new to Twitch then do check it out! http://twitch.tv/andyisyoda Twitch is a streaming service which is free to watch (it's what Ninja streams on!!)

Inspiring Build of the Month:

This month's build comes from gmaine (his twitter is gmaineMC). He is from Canada and is 16 years old.  He has been building for 3 years and builds for the CubedCreations pro build team. The build you can see in the pictures was for a commission build for the Odyssey build team.  The client wanted a small indented center area with a Pokemon mural where people could spawn. All of the pathways go out from that centre area.  These lead to the different things he wanted in the build.

I asked gmaine for some landscaping tips as he has created some epic cliffs and central terrain.  He said that you should start with the ground, find some nice trees then put leaves, ferns and flowers on the ground.  His cliffs were made with a special cliff brush that I would like to get on my server soon.  For the trees he used a tree pack but says that when making trees himself he looks at real trees for inspiration unless he is already familiar with the tree.

Gmaine included a ship in the build.  I asked him for some ship tips! This is his answer:

"Start with the hull and the bow of the ship, usually making it by hand is the easiest way to do it. Then I would make the pillars and the masts by hand, and then use line or catenary brushes for the ropes holding down the pillars and masts. "

A lot of the building are diagonal.  When asked about this he said that be builds them straight but then uses the rotate command in world edit to rotate them.  He also mentioned a special roof tool which I am going to investigate!

I hope you agree that he is an amazing builder with a bright future - I am for one inspired!

Server News

Livestreams have been switching back and forth between our 5x5 kingdom and the city.  In the last month our focus was mostly back on the city with two awesome builds being made.  The hotel and the shopping mall which is still a work in progress.  It has been fantastic fun in live streams to be able to build with patrons on these big projects.  I have been streaming this at 4pm uk time. I hope to be able to do some later streams this month too on YouTube for our american patrons to get a chance to build on the projects too.

Big shoutouts to sirusmaj and Waredog_ for finishing the hospital:

and the google building complex:

and Leonmc's skyscraper complex:

I hope to be able to upgrade the server to 1.14 soon.

My own life news

I took a week break from YouTube and Minecraft to travel to Scotland to see friends and relatives. I went to the Royal Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh (if you ever get to Edinburgh this is a must visit)

The architecture of the victorian museum is outstanding.  I then travelled North to Dundee where I saw the new and contemporary V&A museum:

Quite an amazing space inside and out!

Then I drove with some friends to Loch Morch, camped on its shores and we cycled along some epic forest paths the next day.  Flying along on a mountain bike and splashing through streams is so epic!

Coming up:

Lots of livestreams on youtube and twitch, more upgrade videos and plenty more tutorials

If you want to help me out then share my kingdoms playlists to your social networks!

Thanks again and May The Blocks Be With You!
