So...why not the ice wolves as expected. Because I got completely burnt on it and just couldn't animate them anymore. I would just sit in front of my PC for hours and not manage to be productive, there was just no point continuing

So, as I am not a smart person, I decided to relax from doing creature animations by doing humanoid animations. As it's based of EdenExile's original work it's not a Patreon exclusive even tho by based of someone's work I mean : I deleted everything and redid it from scratch lol

You can get the mod here. Thanks for your support and have fun

The quality of the animations in the modding scene has drastically increased between 2021 and 2022. I completely reworked Eden Exile's original Valkyrie Sword & Shield moveset which was one of the best movesets at the time, to make it catch up on the progress made since Download : www.skyrim-guild.com/distar/mods/valkyrieswordshieldredux Original mod : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47416

Oh ? Honestly I do think the jumps are straight up dogshit lol. Tbf, I wouldn't redo anything like this anymore. I am unsure on wether I did that when I didn't have my motion capture set or, if I did it when I was having huge trouble to get it to work If I ever am to redo it, it'll be through this method as it takes a lot of time to hand animate. My apologies for the late answer, I had problems with my Patreon 2FA and couldn't access my account

Hi, just subscribed, really love your work here. Does this mod change dragon behavior as well or just wolves and trolls?

Distar

Hello ! This is I assume the wrong mod you are refering to. The SG overhaul does change the behavior of the wolves, dragons and trolls

The attack animations seem a little slow Mainly at the wind up and return or back swing. Like it looks like a really tired boxer who's barely able to swing their fists you know? Also the jumps and movement seems very "floaty" like it's using the gravity from the Moon or Mars. Lastly spin attacks... this hollywood invention drives me crazy because you're literally exposing your back to your enemy to kill you. However Spin attacks CAN be pulled off IF 1) performed extremely fast such as a spinning back kick in martial arts as it really does generate more power and its done in such a way to minimize the time your back is exposed. 2) you cover your back with your offhand weapon or shield. I would recommend for all spin attacks having her position her shield in such a way to cover or minimize the time her back is exposed. You could for instance use a lateral warding strike with the shield to help generate centrifical force before the spinning power attack with the sword. This would minimize the time your back is exposed. Also with spinning back kicks you set your feet in such a way where you can pivot and spin your hips/torso extremely fast to both generate more force and minimize the time your back is exposed making the spin attack less dangerous. Other than that however the animation set is very good. The design of the attacks are well done and interesting. I particularly like how she keeps her shield forward in guard position for the majority of the attacks as sword and board combat should be done. Just need some tweaks to make them look less tired/floaty and to protect those spin attacks more.

Hey thanks. For the spins well....I have no intention to do anything about it lol. The look before the practicality ^^ The moveset is very slow admitedly. It's just my thing lol. I like slower movesets. For having tested, you can use it and speed it up until 1.5. Above it looks weird. I think 1.3 is the sweet spot that most people would like The jump is admitedly really bad tho. Ngl lol

Yeah I'm sorry if I wasn't clear in my first feedback. I definitely think that you have to speed up only certain parts. I'd say most of the sword swings are just right but the jumps and some of the swings and it's often not the entire swing but rather the reset animation like the swing is fast and then she recovers/resets slowly... in slow motion. The best example of this is the combo at :40 seconds. But there are other swings where it happens to a lesser degree to make it feel a little "floaty". It's definitely more surgical changes than overall. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I'm just glad you have actual thrust animations for a sword and shield moveset because a lot of people forget that swords have a pointy end lol.
