Within the Echo, motes of energy can coalesce into creatures of primal hunger and rabid destructive nature. They are consumed by the need to harm and break the universe wherever they find an opportunity. These demons take on forms that reflect their intent, manifesting as avatars of their purpose based on the beliefs and expectations of mortals.

One of the lowest forms are the Ferals, made from scraps of psionic cast-offs. They are cowardly in the face of their more powerful kin but still chase sadistic intent when it comes to the weak, flesh-made mortals.
