Chewing their way through the metallic rock of meteors and asteroids, the strange metabolism of these work creature converts many of the harder materials into new scales of incredible strength and depositing the rest in concentrated chunks in it's wake. It's a good way to mine for gems but not a good way to stay alive and healthy.
