Content

So I've become quite aware that content here as been leaked onto certain sites. In response I'm going to make this post as a way to potentially halt this issue, and as a warning.

If you're one that takes paid content from ANYONE and then posts it to sites like these, then ultimately causing more harm than good. Patreon allows content creators to view when patrons join/leave, and more, so finding these violators isn't too difficult. Please refrain from sharing anything from anyone, since in the end it only demoralizes content creators.

Second, if you log into sites like these whilst also supporting content creators, you need to INSURE that you're not sharing/enabling cookies. Sites like the example above use a scraping software to access session keys, and then pulls from the content creator's site. Clear your cookies, delete them, disable them, whatever you need to do.

It's horrible that this is something many deal with, and it's even worse that sites like this exists. Please do you part to help prevent matters like this, because as a content creator, it means the world to me to be able to provide content for my amazing supporters. Thank you.

Groundage

I had this happened to me, even as I just started late last year. I had my stuff getting leaked, thanks to a friend mentioning it to me. So, I started using MEGA and changing the link every now and then to prevent people from gaining access to it, while they aren't subscribed to me. It sucks that I have to resort this way as I just want to post normally on Patreon.

I wonder if going after Tier 1 ISPs might be a valid tactic against these piracy sites, since the content they are hosting is illegal in nature it surely wouldn't be hard to get Tier 1 ISPs to blackhole routes to them for AUP violations. Worked for Kiwifarms.
