While working on some new character pieces (for a Valkyrie type character next), I took a break to make some large statues. I plan on doing more of these. They come in versions both with and without their plinths (so you can integrate them into a mountainside, for example, without the plinth).

I like the shapes, but the thing about these is that they look like they were sculpted out of a rough, uneven rock. Sculptors of old typically selected a certain stone type, like marble, which in color is very even and clear, to bring about the form of the sculpture, although in some cases the sculptures were painted on (which also requires a very smooth texture to work at all). And often even if worn by time, these sculptures would retain their even color.

Also, what I like to do with some heavily textured renders is bleech out the contrast as mcuh as I can, and then apply a second duplicated color burn layer, and then erase the bits on the colorburn I don't want with the opacity down to allow the colors to come through.
