Well that title is a mouthful!

It has been requested multiple times to make not just the individual building blocks for you to make your own structures, but to also maybe make example buildings.

What I am working on presently (while still waiting for my new work station...) is a prototype of what I am calling "archtypes" for buildings. Attached here is a sample of a small one.

Basically I make a few different floor shapes/sizes. Right now I have about 12 different sizes and configurations (just stone at this moment, going to do up floors for each style). For each size and configuration there will be a number of pre-built wall choices you can use (solid walls, windows, doorways, archways, etc). There are two categories of these walls, the front walls and the back walls for easier layering.

Lastly will be roofs built to fit each configuration and style of floor/wall. That part is not included with today's update since I have not quite gotten there yet.

The general idea behind this is to allow you to build a bunch of buildings quicker and easier than if you were to build them with the individual components, while still being a relative blank slate to allow for customization and decoration. You can build standalone buildings or join the various styles and configurations into a larger and more complex building, or mix and match the archtypes with your own custom creations for something more unique and yet still save time.

Today's attachment only has a small single floor style and a handful of potential wall choices just for you to try out and see if it is a general concept that you enjoy or not.

I would love any feedback that you might have regarding this - would this be helpful/useful to you? I don't want to waste my time making something like this if very few people would find it helpful.

Thank you and have a great rest of your weekend!

I've been messing around in Tiled lately with your various building packs(nice assets btw) and it would seem to me that these new archetypes would of course be a nice addition, I could see using them to do corners faster for instance. Though I would say I'd be more interested in there being maybe 3 or so similar variations of the texture used in new building sets so if you're making like a city with one style its easier to get more variety. I mean with the log cabin/wood sets its easier to get that variation by adjusting the color, but with some of the other sets its a bit harder like the plaster and fieldstone sets.
