Your new loyal secretary is ready for duty.

Hello! Time for another progress report. Honestly, I don't have much to say. Renders are being made, dialogues are being written. It's almost business as usual, except for one thing.

See, I bought myself a better power supply recently. Made quite a jump from 850W to 1800W. And what do you know, my rendering speed got about 10–15% faster. Good, right? Well, there's a huge downside to this. Because my processor just BURNS. Speccy says that about five minutes after I start rendering, the temperature goes up to 135°C (and that's with 50% limit of CPU usage), which is pretty much apocalypse for the system. I already had a forced reboot, and do not want another one. So, right now I'm researching the options for better cooling. I'm not that far behind the schedule for renders though. In fact, I already have about 60, which was en expected number for me. Wasting a couple of days won't hurt, especially since I can just make sprites and backgrounds in the meantime.

As for the script itself, it gets more shaped in my mind, and in the code. In this first part of v0.10 Blake will finally be able to spend the night in Vanessa's flat without Iris, cook some breakfast for Liam, explore an exhibitionist part of Samuel's personality, and get a tour at Melinda's renovated basement. Also, a visit from Kira, a date with Stewart, Bree's «apology», and some other things. Oh, and Melinda + Vanessa scene. I bet some of you are craving to see that. Also, past Blake returns. If you seduced him in v0.9, you're gonna see the results of your deeds. If you didn't, you'll get another chance. So, what do you think? Is there anything else you would want to see as soon as possible, and not wait until the second (or third, if needed) part of v0.10? Tell me! And have a nice day.

I nicked this comment from the techpowerup forum: "Any energy consumed by the PSU that is lost due to inefficiency is indeed, lost in the form of heat. However, some energy, not much, but some of the difference between what the computer (motherboard, graphics, CPU, RAM, drives, case fans, CPU fan, attached USB devices, etc.) draws and what the PSU pulls from the wall will go towards the operation of the PSU's own fan. But again, that is very little comparatively. So for all practical purposes, yeah, that ~90W and ~50W are wasted in the form of heat. That wasted heat may not be a bad thing in the middle of winter in Ohio as it can help keep your computer room warm and toes toasty. But in the summer time, it will cause your home's AC unit to work harder, compounding the costs of those inefficiencies. :("

Serves me right for being so stupid. Thanks. I called a serviceman for tomorrow, and I got another overheating when my PC was just idle, and not only that, but one of the disk ports on the motherboard died. I think I’ll take a day off today. Hopefully, I’ll be able to sort everything out tomorrow.
