Lurking in the shadows of other civilizations, the skitterkin are a vicious breed of highly intelligent rat-like humanoids, whose race is united in the worship of the wicked many-headed deity known as the Rat King. Paying home to the third head, Shogg-Wyze, the Master of Mechanisms, the embodiment of rodent cunning, Clan Wyzerd is one of the most prominent skitterkin clans, prizing the development of advanced technology in order to wage war and conquest. 

Their technology is crude, but fiendishly cunning, powered by crystallized magical deposits the skitterkin believe is the very blood of the Rat King. Poisonous to most races, the skitterkin thrive on this wychstone, and it provides an unstable but terribly potent energy source for the skitterkin's machinery. It can even wed machinery to flesh, allowing Clan Wyzerd to augments its troops with mechanical grafts and limbs.

Most skitterkin clans wage war with great heaving hordes of ratling soldiery, and Clan Wyzerd is no exception. Clan Wyzerd's warriors also enjoy the fruits of their master's creativity, in the form of advanced weaponry and heavy augmetic armor. Wyzerd Raticators are clad in specially designed combat suits, powered by wychstone-fueled reactors that augment their strength and durability. They wield potent ranged weaponry that fire wychstone-infused rounds into the enemy, blasting them apart with devastating volleys and poisoning those who manage to survive.

One of the most terrifying examples of Clan Wyzerd's technology is surely the dread Verminators, colossal mechanical fiends created from hand-picked elite Wyzerd warriors grafted into heavy mechanized war-suits. Clad in thick plates of reinforced armored and powered by wychstone arcano-tech reactors, Verminators are nigh-unstoppable killing machines.

While Mutilator-class Verminators are equipped to deal death in close combat, advances in ranged weaponry have yielded a new type of super-rat techno-warrior, the Verminator Vandalizer. These towering mecha-verminoids utilize devastating long-ranged weaponry including the Blightning Cannon, Wychbreath Mortar, Wychflame Caster, and the dreaded Doom-Flayer Vaporizer Array.

As highly insular as any skitterkin clan, Clan Wyzerd will occasionally strike bargains and forge alliances with other clans. In such instances, the Wych-Engineers of Clan Wyzerd will reluctantly outfit agents of other clans with advanced arcano-tech weaponry, creating a fearsome overlap of specialties. One such collaboration has given rise to the Shadowkin, agents of Clan Ninzil, a skitterkin clan famed and feared for their talents at stealth infiltration and assassination. Disciples of the Rat King's eighth head, Shogg-Zil, the Haunter in the Dark, the skitterkin of Clan Ninzil embody the quiet, creeping and unseen qualities of vermin.

Shadowkin Operatives have their natural talents for stealth augmented to an unbelievable degree with Clan Wyzerd arcano-tech, enabling them to become virtually invisible when using the Shadowskin stealth-suit. Shadowkin assassins often employ the specially-crafted Shadowstone long-rifle, a weapon capable of firing wychstone bullets that can pierce virtually any defense at impossible distances. Death lurks in every shadow when the Shadowkin are given the command to slay.

Like many of the other beast-races found throughout the world of Jerra, the origins of the skitterkin lie with the ancient life-shaping magicks once wielded by the eldarch race. The eldarch's mastery over the world ended during a period of calamity known as the Age of Hunger, and much of their ancient golden age civilization was utterly destroyed. Yet while many of their glorious cities crumbled and were swallowed by the earth, examples of their mastery of sorcery survived in those buried ruins, the magic twisted and stagnating, mutating all that it came into contact with. The skitterkin emerged from one such ancient ruin, a species of rodent mutated into a fiendishly intelligent and hostile race

The skitterkin might already have been a dangerous enough breed left to their own devices, but the tainted magic at the heart of their lands was like a beacon that called out to hostile and malevolent supernatural forces. Lurking beyond the ordinary dimensions of the world was the hideous beast-deity, Shogg-Kathak, the Rat King.

Born in some ancient cosmic instance of miscreation, the Rat King is one of the Shogg-Zoa, the God Beasts, eldritch demigods that have turned their baleful gaze upon Jerra and its many races, treasures, and powers. Some mysterious and sinister link exists between these God Beast and the life-shaping magicks that the eldarch once wielded, and the God Beasts see the beast-races born of that magic as their rightful possessions, and the world itself as their destined dominion.

Clan Wyzerd has recently made great strides in developing new and more potent instruments of war, and have drawn up great plans for a vast series of campaigns and conquests, soliciting support and calling in favors from all of the other prominent skitterkin clans. The greedy gaze of Wyzerd's clan leaders has fallen upon the vast metropolis of Guildenstern, the largest city in the world, a city filled with riches of advanced technology that the skitterkin crave. An overwhelming force is now on the move through subterranean tunnels being dug directly beneath the unsuspecting city. Clan Wyzerd has every intention of taking everything Guildenstern has to offer, and using its resources and technology to launch even greater and more destructive conquests upon the surface world.

Clan Wyzerd is on the rise, and will stop at nothing until it has it all! The Undertaking has begun!
