Hi All,

As promised I have part two of the updates for you, public release of Errant Thoughts, and one new mod, Career Services, which covers unemployment, job training, temp gigs, and career aptitude. Additionally, some tested patron early access features are now available in the public update versions of HCR and Divergent Sims so I hope you enjoy them. Enjoy your fall! I'll see you in December after new EP drops with a new mod that proves age ain't nothing but a number... ;)

If you are getting spammed with specific popups - make sure you got the updates from Part 1. You must update those versions due to patch changes which broke those features.

***Make sure to fully delete and then drop in the new files. Do not replace. Clear your cache!***

BG Health System 2.3

Added compatibility and integration with Lumpinou's new Pregnancy Discovery feature for RPO.

Divergent Sims 3.6

Added custom milestones. Minor bug fixes. Shortened all sessions and removed most time of day restrictions. Updated computer option to research conditions with new reactions. Special Interests are now visible. Added interaction descriptions. Tweaked the rate of side effects.

New feature: Behavioral Addiction module. There are now four different addictions which can present themselves over time starting as occasional habits, progressing into bad habits, obsessive habits, and finally addictions: caffeine, shopping, gambling, and gaming. There are new interactions to support these addictions under the Entertainment menu on the phone. Sims can relapse on their road to recovery and it can affect those in their households as well. Added six new recovery/relapse buffs to previous system. Some sims are more susceptible to addictions than others. Sims can avail themselves of outpatient addiction counseling, in-patient rehab, and an addict support group. Counseling, rehab, and support groups recognize and treat addiction from BD. There is no conflict between BD and this module. There are also new socials related to addiction with reactions.

Family therapy in the mod has changed with new moodlets and reactions for both the initiating sim and those who accompany them. Changed OCD mood buffs. Sims can now call in sick to work if they want when their condition has flared up if they have certain buffs. Updated occult exemptions. Your Sims should no longer get stuck in appointments; if they do reset appointments from Actions and it will release everyone.

Fixed an odd issue that occured if you also had Custom Nuptials installed.

Healthcare Redux 7.6

Added compatibility and integration with Lumpinou's new Pregnancy Discovery feature for RPO. Added custom milestones. When going to prenatal appts, your sim can now learn the number of babies and their sexes if opting into a gender reveal. Changed it so that Sims are symptomatic for at least 12 hours before showing the doctor notification.

New features: Gynecological exams and gynecological issues; made changes to migraines; multiple babies result in higher risk pregnancies more likely to develop complications, need induction, or result in c-section birth; new socials and reactions/moodlets related to diagnoses and illnesses for the sims and their friends/family members; optional medication reminder addon.

Changed the way deaf accommodations work. Sims who are not deaf can learn sign language as well. eaf Sims may have trouble speaking to other Sims who don't know Sign Language if they can't Lip Read, don't know Sign Language, or don't have Hearing Aids or Implants themselves. Added side effects to medications used in the mod. Updated occult exemptions and pregnancy pre/postnatal notifications/features to exclude lab science babies.

I have increased the likelihood of Sims with Weak Immune Systems getting illnesses, conditions, allergies, and medical emergencies.

Writer Career and Writing Overhaul 2.9.9

Fixed the typo from EA's last patch. This needs a rework as I get too many questions about it which means to me that it's got too many steps in the process but I don't currently have time to tackle it just yet but hope to for December's update.

Healthcare Redux 8.1

Cochlear Implants are now available as wearable medical devices thanks to AJNebula! Add the Meshes if you want them in game. Add the optional Cochler Implant file if you want neutral colors automatically added when your sim gets cochlear implants. Otherwise, add any style in CAS as desired. Added compatibility and integration with Lumpinou's new Pregnancy Discovery feature for RPO. Added missing compatibility for Divergent Sim side effects to be treated with HCR medications.

New Public Mod

Errant Thoughts v1.4 

This mod adds opportunities for your sim's to rethink some of their life choices and make changes on a whim. Maybe they suddenly don't like living in the big city and think a change of pace in the country would be good. Perchance university isn't all it's cracked up to be and they have the sudden urge to drop out. Or could be they're tired of waking up to the same Sim every day and want to get a divorce. Perhaps they want an adorable furry companion or are longing for a baby. These will not take up a want slot; they're simply chances for your Sim's to think about changing things up from time to time, some randomly and some based on what's going on in their lives. There are three categories of thoughts: life/lifestyle, career/school, and relationships. Each category of thoughts has multiple possibilities.

You can choose to ignore your Sim's errant second thoughts - the Sim may forget all about this thought and have no emotions about it - or they may be upset that they didn't act on it if after a week has gone by and nothing has changed, or they may be happy they did act on it if within a week it's been fulfilled, they may even be relieved they didn't act on impulse, but there's also a chance they might regret if they did it within a week but realise maybe they didn't really want what they thought they wanted..

New Early Access Mod

Career Services v1.2

This is a mod that your Sim's can take to help them determine their next career move or their first, fill gaps in their training for jobs they're interested in or currently in, and adds a system of unemployment for fired or laid off Sims.

Four new options exist under Career menu on the computer:

  • Temp Gigz Agency
    Temp Agency to help Sims with temporary gigs in between jobs. Your Sim must sign up with the Temp Gigz Agency which will unlock the gigs menu. Each day the menu will present your Sim with three-seven different tasks to choose from to complete in between jobs for money, ranging from 90 minutes to 8 hours and from pay from $50 to $500. What's available can vary daily and depends on your sim's skill set though many tasks require no specific skills. Sims can choose to complete all three if they have time, but won't be able to do more than 3 a day.
  • Start/Continue Job Training Course
    This course will boost randomized common job skills like charisma if they're out of a job or skills needed for their current or new job if employed. The course can be taken more than once.
  • File Unemployment Benefits Claim (only available after being laid off or fired).
    The daily amount is determined by the age of your sim and their previous career. Benefits only lasts for 7 days so Sims cannot live off of unemployment forever and must eventually find other sources of income. If a Sim gets a job before the 7 days are up, Benefits are immediately stopped upon hire.
  • Take Career Aptitude Test
    This test will give Sims a recommendation for a career based on their previous jobs, traits, and skills. Career recommendations cover all Expansions. This test is available only to sims who are in high school, university, or unemployed.

Sims who have recently graduated High School and are not enrolled in University, Sims who have recently graduated from University and are not employed, high school students during Career Day, and Sims who have been fired or laid off will get a notification upon each respective event that the Career Services is available to help suggest a first or new career path.

Requirements

This mod is BG compatible but if you have other packs (particularly DU, HSY, or GrT) that will change the options you see and when.
