Changes (Patreon)
Content
Hi All,
I have a few changes/updates to share with you regarding hosting my mods, my discord server, how I plan to use Patreon going forward, and updates to a few mods.
FYI: All my mods are cleared for the recent 1.98 patch.
Major Changes
Changes to Mod Hosting
So I've been thinking about it for quite some time and finally decided to do it: I've moved my public mod descriptions from Patreon to Itchio. There's a number of reasons why this is so but I won't bore you with it.
Public versions will now be grouped in category pages here on Patreon along with their links, but all individual mod descriptions are hosted HERE on Itchio.
Patrons in appropriate tiers will still be able to access early releases and Patreon only versions here on Patreon and also on posts specifically for you on Itchio tied to your Patreon membership status. When new early access mods or patreon versions of mod updates become available those posts will be patron only here on Patreon and on patron only posts on Itchio so that if they get mod updates they can be hosted on the actual pages instead of comments strewn throughout Patreon.
Mod Status and Updates
These will be posted after patches or monthly updates both here on Patreon, on Twitter, and on Itchio. If you follow me on Patreon or Itchio you will receive notification of changes that occur for my mods including new mods, updates, and status reports after patches so if you already follow me here on Patreon and don't want to move your follow, that's fine, you'll still get notifications whether you're a patron or not.
Changes to Discord
My Discord server will have some changes as well. I have created a channel where you all can answer each other via forums (this is only for non-patrons). I will no longer be offering one-on-one mod support to non-patrons.
Current Mod Index
My Mod Index has been updated to reflect these changes here on Patreon and here on Itchio.
Public Mod Updates
Unsupported Mods
This reorganization precipitated me going through my mods and I will no longer be supporting the following mods:
School Milestones -Long unsupported, just reiterating since I still get questions
Self-Help Activities - Rolled into Divergent Sims and no longer a standalone mod
Simston Private School -I will no longer be maintaining this mod
Updated Mods
The following mods received some updates. You can find the mod descriptions here.
Custom Nuptials
Updated the MissyHissy compatibility file only for her new Announce Engagement Overhaul mod
Delinquent Teens v1.9.8
Added support for updated SimNation Travel and tweaked hearing push.
Divergent Sims v1.4.5
Family Therapy, Mental Disorders, Going off Meds, and the dedicated Therapist are now available for your Sims. If you previously selected for your sim to get meds that were missing from the pharmacy, use the option under the action menu to reset the meds. This should be fixed for new diagnoses.
Healthcare Redux v5.2.5
I have made changes to how the mod behaves on a conceptual level. In the earliest stages of the mod, it was all random which in turn made things seem, well, random. The fundamental changes to the way the mod functions will make the mod seem much more natural and progressive and far less random.
More Resolutions v1.2
Made changes to resolution to get engaged and married
Pet Careers 1.2.5
Fixed an issue with double files
Personal Sim Hygiene v1.4
Tweaked notification for dental checkup
SimNation Travel v5.9
Tweaked the ability for teens to "borrow" cars without asking
Youth, Family, and Friends Activities v3.9.5
Minor tuning changes
July Patreon Mod Updates
The patreon updates of Healthcare Redux and Divergent Sims are now hosted under new pages. The following updates will be available for patrons for July. This in thanks for your infinite patience and kindness! I hope you enjoy and that it will have been worth the wait.
Healthcare Redux v6.2 (available now)
I further tweaked infant checkups; it helps if your sim's infant is in a crib or high chair when you try to send them to appointments. Let me know if you're still having issues with this feature.
Divergent Sims v2 (available now)
I tweaked it so that if your sim is neurodivergent they will always roll a condition so that it's no longer a cause for confusion. This will be retroactive if they do not currently have one already assigned. I have also rolled self-help activities into the mod.
Healthcare Redux v6.3 (available first week of July)
I have added hospital stays after surgeries to this version. Now after major surgery, instead of just going straight home, your sim will stay in the hospital for a two day in-patient recovery. You can cancel this additional interaction, if you wish. I have also updated and slightly reworked and integrated Dale's Deaf mod. Sims can now lose their hearing as toddlers, children, teens, or young adults; it is most likely to happen after an ear infection or bacterial meningitis, but there's a slight chance it can happen after car accident or plane crash due to head injury as well as rarely without outside causes as part of Sim genetics in toddlers and children. Lip Reading, Sim Sign Language, Hearing Aids, and Cochlear Implants are no longer reward traits and must be obtained through the mod. Sims can learn to read lips by watching tv, on the tablet, or using the computer. They can also learn Sim Sign Language via computer or tablet. It takes a few hours to learn how to read lips and is easier and faster to learn than Sim Sign Language. Hearing Aids and Cochlear Implants are only available via the doctor and implants now require surgery.
Divergent Sims v2.1 (available first week of July)
I have added Gifted to v2.1 of as requested. For sims who have ASD and/or are Gifted, they now have the ability to choose from one of eight special interests upon initial diagnosis. If your sim already has been diagnosed with ASD, they will be prompted to choose their interest. When engaging in activities that cover their interest, they will receive benefits and buffs towards that. Additionally, I have added psychiatric service dogs. You can request a psychiatric service dog as treatment from the psychiatrist and if approved, you can either adopt a new service dog or you can designate a dog already in the sim's household.
Current WIP
Simulated Endings
Originally I was going to wait to do this mod until November and do something completely different for July but obviously real life inspired me to start working on this one instead. It ended up being slightly therapeutic. This should be ready for early access sometime next week (first week of July).
This is a mod which offers some more changes to the game's mechanism for Sims to deal with both their own impending end of life and the passing of others they knew. It keeps the game's death mechanics the same (so no medical examiner or anything) but changes how sims can respond before and after.
It rebalances grief responses to be based on your sim's relationship and relationship level and if your sims ever met with the deceased; allows elders to actually get their affairs in order by making a will, making amends, imparting wisdom, making donations; adds new socials for informing other sim's about a loved one's passing, allows Sims to console each other and more; introduces the five stages of grief for sims who pass who are close to your active household; adds bereavement leave and bereavement activities; obituaries can be written and read; adds a customizable memorial service event; and integrates into the Remembrance holiday tradition from Seasons.

Hopefully this won't be too confusing or convoluted and I thank you in advance for your patience in the transition. If this doesn't work as I envisioned, I might have to make more changes, but for right now, we're going to try this out.
Thanks!
Dani
