New Mods

CALAMITOUS SIMS

Requires Lot51's Core Library.

This mod adds a randomized probability your sims could experience a sudden, life-ending, tragic event adding death variety and unpredictability to your sim's lives. These range things like carbon monoxide poisoning, strokes, fatal accidents on dangerous job shifts, environmental disaster during bad weather, and more. They can occur randomly but most occur in situations where it would realistically make sense (overweight sims are more likely to experience a stroke, for instance).

Some of these types of deaths are included in other mods of mine (for instance choking is in Healthcare Redux) but unlike those other mods, at present (there potentially could be in future), there's no gameplay from them happening to your sims (no doctor or hospital visit, etc). If you have HCR installed it will take precedence over any duplicate deaths available in this mod to enable the gameplay available from it.

The events in this mod are sudden, random tragic deaths that add a bit of danger and precariousness to your sim's existence and life choices. These deaths can affect sims from infant to elder, depending on the event, and in the case of car and plane crashes affect multiple sims in your household is traveling together.

Hiya! Thank you for all the hard work you do on your mods, they elevate game play exponentially! I was wondering if you'd consider adding a feature to Dynamic Teen Life that would allow us to enable/disable social group outfits at school. I like the feature, but I also like the teens to be able to wear normal outfits. Just something that I notice when playing a family with teens in school.

Has anyone else had a issue with Health Redux messing up your UI Interface?

You wouldn't unless you don't have the required and updated mods. The only way HCR can affect your UI is through improperly installed, uninstalled, or outdated versions of the Mood Pack. Check that you have installed the mood pack, that you don't have any outdated duplicates, and that your version is up to date.

Hello again. Another thought I have would be more injuries and more triggers for them (though it's hard to know everything that triggers an injury since it's random if one will occur). Falling off a broom or falling while 3 feet up in the air during meditating should have the chance for the back/arm injury respectively. A failure during cheer would be a very realistic place to see an injury. Getting in a fight should come with a chance of any of the available injuries. I'd also love to see more injuries, though I know necessary CC is a barrier. The football failure animation is just screaming for the possibility of a broken nose, fights IRL commonly cause black eyes/bruised knuckles. Even broken feet/ankles could be a possibility during various activities with a good walking cast cc as those injuries don't always require a period of time on crutches. I'm just starting to play with divergent. I mentioned on discord I would love to see a sims job and daily work tasks taken into account when determining addiction. At least in my case it didn't seem to be for my e-sports pro and videogames (the playing of which is his daily job advancement requirement). Enjoy your time off ❣️

I've been playing for a few days with different families and all updated mods, and every time I instruct my sims to take vitamins, pain meds, or antibiotics they freeze and reset so treating bacterial infections no longer works with medicine. The other medicines like cold and allergy still work.
