"Pump"

Backstage at the Ms. Ultima competition, Satin Steele pumps up her biceps with a pair of elastic bands, in preparation for the preliminary judging rounds.

...Yeah, yeah, I can hear you out there: "Hey, it's cool that it's animated, but she's so skinny in this one! You've been drawing her so much beefier in pics like 'Wings' and 'Shredded', what happened?" Well, the reason for that is that I started working on this animation about two weeks ago.

After I concluded that I wouldn't be able to get the idea of "repetition" across in a still picture, animation seemed the logical solution. I knew I wouldn't be able to complete even a short, simple loop like this in one day, though so I gave myself two weeks of lead time.

I had no idea, though, that I'd be inspired to draw a more massive and beefier Satin than I usually do for pics like "Wings". By the time I finished "Wings" and realized the Satin I was animating was much smaller than the one I drew, I was only two or three frames away from completion, and had no time to trash what I'd done and start over with a "thiccer" Satin. So I decided to let it stand.
