ARES - Sketches (Patreon)

And here I am currently working on the God Ares🔥!

The God of War, Initiative, Rushing Blood and Impulsiveness!
He is thirsty for things to happen, and has a lot of vigor to face his challenges.

With all that in mind, I think of him as a young, virile man, with his spear and (big) cock pointing shamelessly to the heavens.

To conceive Ares's aesthetic, I was also inspired by elements of African warriors, but mixed with elements of Greek warriors.

As you can see in the sketches, I did some test helmets for Ares, but in the end, I opted to make his face more visible, and adorned his head with an olive wreath, complementing his elaborate dreadlock braid.

And while for Zeus, there were lightning and clouds complementing his appearance, here for Ares, I want to apply Fire!
