THE BUGLE BEAGLE 3/18/18 (Patreon)

Last week's comic featured a photo with Cody in his band outfit standing next to the band instructor, Mr. Armel. Since the origin of the name Armel is French, I figured it would be appropriate to reference the character Ernest from the French animated film Ernest and Celestine in his design.  Especially since Ernest, in the film, is a one man band. He's got his coat, hat, and a stripped tie that resembles his undershirt. It happens to be one of my favorite movies, so it was fun to make a little tribute. 

Mr. Armel is definitely a free spirit kind of guy and Cody really looked up to him in high school. While Jeremy is the one  helped him discover his love for music, Mr. Armel is the one who helped push his love for it further. Not having any kids of his own, Mr. Armel cared for Cody like his own son, even calling him "Little Bear," which he only meant in admiration.
