THE BEAGLE BUGLE 2/4/18 (Patreon)

Say hello to the first issue of The Beagle Bugle! I figured every week I can contain all the sketches and details for the comic and other artwork into one post and it'll be sort of like a newspaper every Sunday! 

What's a newspaper? No idea. I'm a dog, I can't read.

As revealed in the latest comic, back in the day the crew went to high school together. They all attended a small private school called Edgewood Academy. It's a prestigious all-boys institution that is renowned for both it's academic and athletic achievements. The students are known as the Edgewood swordsmen. (Let the inappropriate jokes commence)  

Ethan is usually seen wearing his hoodie at school, but during school hours he isn't allowed to wear his hat. He is, however, allowed to wear it before and after school hours, so he's always quick to put it on when allowed. He usually drew himself and his friends in a comic, which is why he was fixed on looking like an anime protagonist. 

Side note, how is he so cut for an artsy type?..... hmmm

Back in the day, Cody went to the same high school that his father, Jeremy, attended. Being the supporting soul that he is, he was the football team's water boy and always had healthy snacks available for the team. However, this usually lead to Ethan getting ideas, usually involving retrieving someone's jockstrap.    

Rai was a straight A student until he had an angsty phase in his high school years. He can usually be found wearing his hood over his head whenever he can. Much like hats, he's not allowed to wear the hood during school hours, but he tends to do it anyway until he's told to take it down. He's also doesn't really seem to open his mouth unless he needs to. I wonder if he's hiding anything. 

As an honor roll student, Cruz took his time at the academy pretty seriously. He worked hard for his grades while also juggling student counsel and many other extracurricular activities. He helped out at the school so much in fact, that parents and students often mistook him for an actual teacher.

Jake was on the football team in high school and was the next in line for his family. For generations, the men in his family played football at the school and brought the school team to a number of championships. It's very important to his family that he continues this tradition.    

Damien also played football in high school and could be often found wearing his uniform proudly. His family also has generations who played at the school, but they never reached the level of fame that Jake's family did. Damien is determined to change all that.
