Hello everyone!

The laptop works! Which means that I can post a story. Goodness gravy is this thing's keyboard horrible, though. Somehow the keys are both too sensitive and also not sensitive enough? Huh? How the heck did I type so many words on this thing back in the day?

Anyway... story time. This is one that has been in the works for a little bit, on and off. It went through quite a few drafts and rough concepts before I finally ended up settling on, well, this! Yes, it was a commission, but I got a fair bit of freedom with the creative direction and stuff.

Anyway! It's about a dragon. We love dragons here. Or I do! It's not a typical fantasy dragon tale, though... this one is about a cybernetic dragon, or, a synth! It's also pretty long (and fun) so strap yourself in, eh?

Emmy is a synthetic dragon produced by a company named Ragnarok... a dazzling combination of ancient mythology and future-age technology. She's the first of her kind, a hyper-advanced artificial intelligence inside of aI hyper-advanced body. The company isn't sure how to define her: and neither is Emmy. Such problems aren't the dragon's concern, though... especially when there's prey to hunt.

20000 Words

I messed up a little and forgot to log myself into Dropbox before leaving home, so... I'll have to upload this one to Dropbox after the weekend! For now, you can either download it from Patreon by clicking the attachment below, or, read online here at Google Documents! 

I had a great time writing this one... which is why it ended up being 20000 words rather than the 10000 or so it was supposed to be. Oops! Ah well, no harm, right? Everyone enjoys some extra words!
