A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest - DM's Betting Hall Gender Poll (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

The location poll is now over! The Dungeon Master's Betting Hall won. Just to remind everyone, this is what it's all about:

It's a micro betting hall. Which means that all the patrons there are betting on micros! How/what/why are they betting on tiny people? Well...

The owner of this particular shop enjoys making dungeons. Miniature model dungeons. They're based off of the famous dungeons of yore - accurately - coming with all of the deadly traps and fearsome critters that they're supposed to possess!

Of course, given that the dungeons are a few feet tall - at most - and the creatures within only a few inches large, they're not that scary to the patrons... but they sure are terrifying to the micros who are forced to run the gambit on the hourly basis.

Gamblers bet on how far the micros will make through the dungeon. In the prologue, when you're big, you will be given an opportunity to gamble. Later on, when you're small, though... you'll get an opportunity to run through a model dungeon yourself! In front of a live audience who want to see you fail! Naturally, that means you might get eaten by a wide variety of mythological beasties...

Something that I didn't point out before but would like to point out now is that while audience interaction isn't encouraged, it is very much possible.

Don't worry if you were more of a fan of the other two locations - those will be a part of the poll next month and the month after that and probably the month after that too. I plan on running a series of these polls every month or so until the game is finished purely so that I can get the locations hammered out!

So, this one is pretty simple. Is the owner of this particular place male or female? To help you with this choice - and because the poll won - I'll give you a little bit of information about them. Age or species is yet to be determined - the former will be decided in a personality poll, and the latter will be decided in a species poll that I'll probably hold right after this one.

The Dungeon Master's Betting Hall - which is less of a hall and more of a temporary construct built out of a caravan - is owned by a travelling entertainer. The Betting Hall moves around from place to place, and it just so happens to be in Hellev during your visit!

As a result, this person is very world-wise and travelled. They know lots of things and have spent several years running a travelling show come casino - so they're also very charismatic! 

The kind of charisma that they have - whether it's well-intentioned or more a malicious conperson style - will be decided in a later poll, so don't worry about that too much for now. Point is, they know a lot - about the world, about monsters, and about the dungeons that they inhabit. They'll probably be quite an interesting person to talk to if you're interested in what happens outside of Hellev.

So, yep! Male or female. Boy or girl? Girl or boy...

In other news, Being Human Chapter 5 is almost finished! This week I went back into it and tore most of it apart and rewrote the vast majority of the entire chapter. I really wasn't happy with it and was struggling to finish it off - hence all the delays - but I've rewrote it under a different perspective and I am now really, really happy with it. I think it's some of my strongest writing yet. Don't worry - it's still an unbirth chapter - but the tone of it is much, much different now. Much sexier. Much spicier! 

It ended up being a bit longer than the projected 10000 words...

... and it still isn't quite complete yet, but, I'm very much putting the finishing touches on it! Given that it's quite a chunky boy and I want to give it a fair bit of editing before releasing it (and I want to spend Sunday working in Quest) I'd say... expect it on Monday or Tuesday?
