[Animated Comic] Otter End (Fomo/Jay) (Patreon)
Content
Whew, this was an undertaking... XD I hope the pages aren't too small or confusing! The file sizes get huge if I export them much larger than this.
In any case, this is my last idea for this whole "Fomo as prey" bit, explaining why it's happened, and why with multiple people like it did! Spacey (or rather, Forest) has some wild ideas, and the "T.V." was one of them; it's fun for those "what if" scenarios that pop up! As Fomo is learning here. Ah well, she'll get it sorted out eventually!
Honestly, this was a real technical challenge. XD I started with the bunny comic with some unique angles and sequences, then on to an actual animatic, which got me real excited, thinking "Oh, I can handle this! Lemme try actually animating!" and holy cow animating is difficult. XD Like, really difficult! Each of these loops is only 4 seconds long, but that's dozens and dozens of frames. And figuring out weight and smooth motion and transitions and posing, and CSP does not make any of this intuitive. I learned so much by the 4th page that I really wanted to go back and redo previous parts, but I realize that if I did, I'd never be done with any of this. XD
I am a bit proud of the initial twirling wrap with Fomo looking at Jay's tail (Though I need practice with the squeezing, coiling is hard to figure out), and the digestion scene in general, which was the most complex part, even with the fast digestion. I really wish I could've done more with both, but this took everything I had to get done, and it's still only this little bit. I dunno how Humbug does it so consistently. XD
I'll admit, I do have plans for maybe including some animation like this, maybe a panel now and then, to MouseCakes! Something to spice it up a bit when I can. No guarantees on if I'll manage it in the long run but I figured it was worth trying out here, to see if I could do it...I can, clearly, but I need more practice to learn more, not to mention it's very time consuming to implement...We'll have to see if I go anywhere with it.
Also, shoutouts to Humbug for helping me figure out a lot of this! Along with some helpful Youtube videos, I was able to dip my toes into the World of Animation! By sending Fomo down the Otter Slide. X3
Also, yes, Jay does have a heckin' huge tail (named Swish btw). XD
