MouseCakes #71 - Alice's Wonderland, Pt. 14 (Patreon)

Sorry for missing the update last week, but I'm much happier how this one turned out. ❤

And now we get into some lore! Just a basic overview showing that yes, there is "reformation", or some sort of "reset" in this setting...Kind of...And yes, there's ways to break that, cause that's always fun too, lol.

I want to get into how this isn't exactly a "known" thing too...In a lot of cases, it's just assumed the person was either A) coughed back up off-screen later, or B) it's not looked into too much. I still recall a part in the Scary Movie series (yes it's dumb, but stick with me here), where a character died in one movie (complete with nonsensical funeral and everything), but showed up in a later one.  Her best friend goes "I thought you were dead!" and the other lady goes "I thought YOU were dead!" and that's all they ever do to explain it. XD

Or when they swapped actors for Iron-Man's best friend in those movies.  Just, yeah, it's weird, but roll with it anyway. Don't stuff a gift horse in the mouse, right?  I think that's how that goes.

...Where was I?  Oh!  So yeah, devouring is kind of a thing that happens but it's not exactly commonplace, at least in more modern areas, and the "reset" even less so than people eating each other. But apparently Alice and her family know a lot about it; and Alice is so curious about why things are the way they are that she's willing to risk losing family to dubious methods in order to unlock more information about it. Silly kitty, she could just ask Forest all about it, he could point her to Space Bunny and...

Oh, wait, he got ate, didn't he?  Oooops... >.>;  I'm sure that all won't have lasting repercussions in this setting, surely...Though shouldn't he be back already, if what she's said is true?  Huh... X3

More lore next time! And a possible explanation for Lyte and Fomo's current situation here, and more on the conditions for that possible reset, or how to prevent it. It'll be fun, I've already got it written up. ❤
