No, there is no mysterious artefact in the castle causing these tremors. There's a much more logical explanation for them. Oh, and when it starts rising, it's because she left the castle, so it rises like an iceberg.

Looks like it. The size reference was the Mai Sakurajima pic from earlier this year, which is not the biggest around. The pose I opted for doesn't make the belly as proeminent as in some other works which make her look smaller overall, what would have been fine on its own as she's still as big or bigger than other ultra sized characters. But after seeing your comment I compared the final drawing, its earlier WIP and the size reference. I've apparently reduced her size from the WIP without noticing it. I'll need to double check this in the future.
