Content

Hello! I'm considering possible changes to my Patreon policy as the content format changes, but NO CHANGES ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!

I want to make my Patreon more content-filled for new users. Since people join and wait about a month to get content, I want them to be able to get something immediately. I'll lose some money on this, but my Patreon will become more appealing to newcomers.

Also, the policy of delayed payment is confusing for people. People often think that becoming a patron means they've already paid and are asking me for some content. But the day of payment is still ahead, and the announced content is still in production.

So I wonder how to avoid such situations. 🤔

How does the plan work now?

  • A person joins, and Patreon is not charging upfront.
  • The patron is waiting for the day of payment (the 1st of each month)
  • After the payment, some more time passes to finish the content, and only at this point the patron receives the first content. About 3~4 weeks from the moment of joining. 🥲

So, I am considering this option:

  • Make an upfront payment. No change in prices.
  • Make a GIF archive, which will be available to everyone who joined (Tier 2~3). It will contain all gifs from a specific period (about ~3 months)
  • Recently released content (Voiced animations, FULLs, and games) will be available on my feed for a couple of weeks (or until the next release) and then move to gumroad.

And one more important thing - changing back from UPFRONT PAYMENT is IMPOSSIBLE by Patreon rules! So I have to think it around carefully.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your alternatives 🤔
