The TEA format (Patreon)

So really quick, I want to get some potential FAQs out of the way for the upcoming TEA videos. And yes, videos, plural. This is more of an explanation rather than me defending my choices because it's very draining explaining it to each new person. This way I can direct people here and hopefully some of my choices will make more sense and allow everyone to simply enjoy it for what it is. :) Very rarely do any of you give me grief for most stylistic choices and decisions, so it's not like I'm "fed up" with anyone or anything, though I understand sometimes people prefer one style over another. Anyway, this is mostly for my sanity.
First, this is not a typical "NEST Video" series in most senses. For that reason, they're going in the "NEST Nonsense" category.
Short version: our ever-changing roster of players, the volume of footage of the same phases, and the fact that Ultimate fights take so long to clear with our mid-core schedule.
Long version...
We don't have our usual roster because Ultimate fights are very taxing. We've already replaced Choco and Sophie while playing musical chairs with peoples' jobs and roles. It will probably keep changing moving forward. Doing things episodically rather than all-in-one will hopefully make those changes less jarring.
We also go from progressing to getting stuck on the first mechanic pretty often (especially when we change people out, so we get brand new reactions too), so doing it more as a highlight reel seems more natural to me because it doesn't matter how many times we go back to the beginning, it's almost like a "this week in NEST" and contains our laughs, issues, setbacks to that video rather than an overall theme.
This fight will take a very long time and we're going to have to put it on hold until we clear 5.2's raiding content. Getting it out this way means you can see what we did so far without having to wait half a year for us, on our 6 hour raid week schedule, to complete it and then process dozens of hours of footage into 3 hours worth of video.
Avatars may or may not be in the final products because, like I said, we don't have our usual roster. I don't have any problem getting more made but it sets production back by a little bit. You've all made it so that the resources are available to get it all done, but it may just be a little weird moving forward. This is more of a potential disclaimer rather than a stylistic choice, but I figured it would work here just in case.
That's about all I can think of for now. It's very possible that this will be a 10 part series with how things have gone, just in a more condensed format. Don't worry, though, since the Director's Cuts will still have more of a feel for the usual long-form videos. I take a long time to deliberate my choices and make sure they're viable for me and enjoyable for you, so it's important to me that you know where I'm coming from. I'll be listening to feedback to improve it as we go as well. Thanks for your support and understanding as always. God bless!
