Yes, even Carol. She knows what's coming and she's here for it.

So, I have to address the current policy changes taking affect here. If it goes through as expected (and maybe it already has? I'm not 100% sure), it will definitely affect my content. Now, I've never wanted my work to endorse or promote any non-consensual sexual activity. It has never been my intention to put my characters in explicit "non-con" scenarios, or make my audience and readers think that I support that type of content. I don't.

But, tickling - especially the way it's portrayed in the kink community - can sometimes carry these sort of implications. Bondage is a huge overlapping kink, and when a character is strapped to a chair and tickle tortured while spouting the classic "no stop not there!" line, it becomes easier to scrutinize.

Personally, I think this is a bad-faith argument. This kind of tickling is nothing more than cartoony fantasy - in a sense, a re-creation of what tons of real-life people do themselves. It's role play, it's fantasy. And when people engage in this fantasy, you know that said engagement is between two (or more!) consenting adults. It's harmless.

This, in my opinion, should be the mindset you go into when you see this same roleplay in fiction. When you see Carol being tickled, or Maxie, or anyone, it's meant to be portrayed as harmless fun - and should be interpreted that way. No one is being scarred, no one is being traumatized. I would never want to imply that. Carol, despite her hesitation towards feet/tickling in the canon, is never meant to be portrayed as someone who is forced into a sexually abusive situation against her will; it's just fun when the "grumpy" character gets into it. Fictional characters don't have agency, they don't have feelings, they're not real - there is no actual harm that could be done to them.

Going forward, I will consider how I write the characters/stories, and do my best to avoid any "unfortunate implications". But, I want to stress that, in all my scenarios - for what it's worth - my characters DO consent to any and all things that happen to them. It may sound silly (and I know the above image is kind of jokey), but if people are going to take these silly little cartoons seriously, then so will I. Every one of my characters consents, always. If a canon explanation is needed, then they're all just role-playing. And if the above image actually works and I have to make an illustration like it before every comic I do, then I guess I will. But I hope you all take the content I make in GOOD faith, and understand what it is I'm trying to do here.

I doubt this message is going to save me in the event my content does get scrutinized (I should hope it would, but I doubt it), and I don't know how long I'll be able to make content on this site (I'll stay as long as I can). But remember: it's all just cartoony, harmless fun. Even for Carol.

You'd think it would be obvious enough considering everyone is still together even after however-many years you've been drawing them getting tickled by eachother

Well this is ridiculous we all know you’re not like that.

The problem I see is a. It's kink NSFW is won't before everyone and b. It's like complaining about rated M. Also whoever get that butt hurt shouldn't be on the internet in general.
