Morning Call - 7/15 (Patreon)

Queue Status: Yesterday I finished up a part* of the boob faerie story where a younger sister has boob envy (*as I outlined on that post, I ended up with considerably more story to tell and will do so eventually). Starting on A Cosplay Too Far when I get some time, but will likely not be up before Monday, or even Tuesday, as my weekend is shot all to hell.

Personal Status: Had a bit of a down night yesterday when Jenna looked at my ideas for the next story and asked why I always either have half of my lesbian couples turn into a demoness or be one already. I felt pretty terrible I was doing so without noticing and, as she said it, it was like being punched in the gut. That I keep returning to it probably says something about how I still think about lesbian relationships even after nearly ten years of us being together.

I know I point to Illyana as the source for a lot of my kinks, and maybe this is another one of those cases, but the goals I have set for myself carry a responsibility to be more aware of what I am writing and what statement my portfolio as a whole says. If I am consistently writing one half of my lesbian couples with “evil” coding, I am doing harm to wlw.

Still, this is what I mean about giving me feedback about my writing. I still fall back and into the societal tropes I am fighting against. They are part of me and my formative years, even if I am actively trying to reject them. Seriously though, talk with me about my stories. I know many are probably extreme for most, but I would like to think I am making a real effort to be sex positive and intersectional.
