  “Promise me again that you won’t think less of me?” Nikolette asked him as the elevator doors closed behind them. She turned and looked up at him. Even with her thick eyebrow quirked up in what was usually her confidence face, her expression was pained; her naturally tan complexion noticeably pale against her midnight-black hair.

  Theo did his best not to roll his eyes. They had been over this at least half a dozen times since they left for a weekend away in Niagra. Though she hardly seemed like the type to crave sex because of her super reserved demeanor, apparently his girlfriend had a sleep disorder that caused her to do sexual things in her sleep.
