Your Favs - Favorite Genre? (Patreon)

While I broadly sum up what I write as Speculative Fiction, mostly for word economy, it is an answer much like telling you I lived in the Solar System when you asked where I called home.

So which genres do you prefer to read? [Choose Any.]

For those wondering what I mean by the terms below...

Low Fantasy and High Fantasy are generally divided by whether the story happens in "our" world or another world entirely. There are other contentions, especially now in the contemporary fantasy genre, but the setting is generally a good rule of thumb.

As for Sci-Fi versus Science Fantasy, wilight Zone creator Rod Serling said it best in the open narration for S3:E25 "The Fugitive" 

It's been said that science fiction and fantasy are two different things: science fiction, the improbable made possible; fantasy, the impossible made probable. 

The rest are pretty simple.  I feel like Horror and Mystery need no introduction, while Superhero Fiction is pretty much just Science Fantasy, but the host of additional tropes make it a bit more specialized. Historical Fiction are stories written in a non-contemporary setting, as opposed to Literary Fiction from the past which was typically contemporary.
