Welcome to the third week progress report!

So far we are still on schedule and doing good.

As I explained in the supporter channel over on Discord, there's been a couple "challenges" I had been dealing with the past ~2 weeks.

To sum it up for all of you over here:

When we started the project (Loki game) suddenly, I did not have an exact plan for the project.

Surely I had the Taihou Prototype to use as base for the combat system etc.

But I did not plan out the enemies, the CGs, the graphics etc.

Also not what I want to have in terms of maps, "story" etc.

In other words, I was launching the project "blind".

Usually I have an EXACT plan before the first graphic is drawn, before the first line of code is written etc.

Not this time.

Planning for projects usually takes about 4-8 weeks of full time work (40 hour work weeks), which needless to say, I was not able to do due to the emergency nature of this.

So I spent a lot of the first 3 work weeks on "fixing that".

Other than that, I also worked with SFX editing (voice actress recordings, mostly moans btw) and mapping.

Two skills I have 0 knowledge/skill in...

Which basically means I spent a significant amount of time watching tutorials and figuring stuff out.

Acquiring a new skill under extreme time pressure is... extra stressful, to say the least.

But I'm slowly getting there.

At the very least, I hope what I am doing is at least "okay".

But I already know it's not going to be perfect.

Now... as for the art, I think I'll let mostly images speak for themselves.

Some of them blurred out to keep some surprises for you later once the game is done.

Cres did the Chelsea speedpaint on live stream (yesterday/Saturday) which is NOT part of the Loki game, but instead one of the monthly rewards for Subscribestar supporters.

Other than that, Cres spent the week making a CG scene for Loki which took two days.

As well as working on variations (facial expressions) and drawing graphics for Goblins, which are enemies in the game.

Normally we would have crammed in another CG today (sunday), but Cres just bumped her wrist into the doorframe accidentially earlier today and it looks like it's turning into a bruise.

(nothing too serious, but we're monitoring it of course, no worries!)

So I decided it's best if she doesn't draw today as the slight amount of pain DOES interfere with her "steady hand" while drawing.

We got appointments on monday and tuesday where we'll be out of house all day long.

But the rest of the upcoming week should be productive, and I'm fairly certain that Cres wrist will have fully recovered until wednesday.

So overall, -1 day "productiveness" due to the little accident today.

(also keep the Chelsea artwork in mind which also took a day)

But overall still on schedule and on time with the artworks.

A minor inconvenience, but nothing bad.

See you next week, and enjoy the preview images! ^^
