I think in some comments people assumed that Red hit the spider lady.
But unfortunately for Red, she actually missed!
Sometimes it's hard to get things across perfectly, the intention of the panel was to showcase that the spider lifted her legs and avoided them being cut.
Red's katana did not actually connect with anything.
If she had hit the spider lady, there would have been a cut for sure!
So yeah... that was a miss!
