Progress update and question about 3rd dungeon:


Even though we only took one day off during christmas time, we didn't make as much progress as we hoped to make.

We apologize for that and try our best to deliver Alpha 4 as fast as possible.

We're almost there, this is what's left to do until Alpha 4 release:


- Catheline x Failure CG variations (will be done during Saturday Live Stream)

- Giant Wasp Demons CG (base CG is done, as well as some varriations, but not all of them yet.)


And I guess that's it.

The two CG scenes need to be implemented of course.

Other than that, Blade (our game designer) is currently working on implementing the boss fight and placing enemy encounters on the new dungeon maps, as well as implementing the cutscene after the boss fight.


We're almost there!

Usually we test our games thoroughly before releasing them.

But this time we'll be just giving it a quick test to check if everything runs smoothly, making sure that the 2nd dungeon can be completed in a playthrough at all.

And then we'll release it, so there might be some minor bugs here and there.

We'll fix all of them for the Alpha 4.1 release.


Seeing as how tight this schedule already is, there's chances that we're not going to make it by the end of this year, but we'll surely make it a few days after new years.

We are very sorry and apologize for the inconveniences!

And yeah, we only took one day off during this holiday season, meaning we've been working the other 6 days of the week (our usual work weeks is 5 days a week, so we're really pushing it here).

Once we released Alpha 4, we'll be taking at least one week off to recover a bit.



Regarding 3rd dungeon:

The next poll will be about the 3rd dungeon theme, so we're happy to hear your suggestions for the dungeon.


I skipped through my notes and Patron suggestions and if I'm not mistaken, then the only dungeon theme that would work that we currently have is "Brothel theme".

There was another suggestion for "Theme Park theme" (aka "Demonland") but I'm afraid we can't do that one yet as we need a full custom tileset for this one, and we currently don't have a professional pixel artist for this.

So this suggestion has to wait for a bit.

We'll make sure to start a poll in about a week or so, to determine the theme for the 3rd dungeon in time.

i very much approve of brothel dungeon as a concept, especially if the magic memory mirror makes another appearance

Hmm, maybe a sewer level? It seems like that's pretty standard for many RPGs.

I vote the brothel too. Think it would be a fun one. And would be a neat game over ending lol. But would fit in to with the corruption mechanics you were talking about when you first put it out for the game.

The corruption mechanics are part of the job system which is supposed to be added to the game before Esmoda and the next dungeon.

Ideas for brothel level enemies: - demon guy bodyguards/trainers in suits who use restraining attacks and gang up on the heroines - hulking muscular shirtless trainers with masks - rich old guys in bathrobes and masks who summon more enemies - sexy dominatrixes with masks and whips - restrained girls as passive units that enemies use to buff/heal themselves until they're knocked out Oh, and about the amusement park, couldn't this help? How about an (automated) factory full of robotic or mechanical enemies? Perhaps we could see lots of bondage use here, with robot guards randomly slapping restraints on the characters and leaving them to fend for themselves somehow. Some enemies could even serve as "mobile bondage platforms" that the characters could get placed on...

Did I hear someone say “brothel dungeon”?! I am full in on that! It would also be a way to put in prostitution sidequests naturally: in order to access the dungeon, the lovely demon hunters have to pose as whores, and what better way to do so than to gain a reputation as prostitutes? (Bonus points if a certain green demoness tricks them into getting her as their pimp)

I'm all for a brothel theme dungeon :) Also it does sound like you're really pushing yourselves so make sure to properly relax during that week off, burnout is a real thing

So when is Esmoda going to be added in?
