Not much to say about this month.

I've just been working on Gorgon.  I'm at the point I reach in all lengthy projects where I start to question just about every decision I've made.  Why did I choose to do so many different poses?  What's with all the dialogue?  Should I go back and re-render this shot?  Would it have been worth it to optimize more?  Should this be longer -- no -- shorter?

I'm really bad at these long term things, but at least I'm trying to get better.  It's amazing how immensely complicated an animation can get when you have to keep track of a ton of intensely physical scenes over the course of more than ~60 seconds.  In some ways doing a daily animation challenge is simpler because you don't have to think hundreds of steps ahead.  When working on a project file around 2-3 minutes long, one wrong move could mess up several separate things later along the timeline.  It makes every decision intimidating.

Buuut I'll save all the ranting for the retrospective.  I just have to get the damn thing done and I'm a little behind schedule as it is.

In other news it's going to be a pretty standard month.  I'll probably start showing off some of the cool stuff we're doing with the Baldur's Gate models in addition to the pin-ups and previews.

Thanks for your support!

All the greatest artists doubt themselves, constantly. It’s important for you to get reassurance from your fans that you ARE on the right track! Your work is absolutely brilliant, and the Gorgon project is shaping up to be the greatest erotic animation/storyline OF ALL TIME. Seriously, the fact that you’re ALSO doing all of this YOURSELF is amazing. You’re like if Pixar did entire films with just one guy!!

Art from the artists perspective is never perfect. But, as you said, you just have to get it done, and I can understand the duality of that challenge as you strive to create something that is both complete AND perfect. As one of your supporters, I can tell you that I appreciate your work greatly! The fact that you take a step back to take a hard look at your work makes you a better artist, and I'm more willing to back you because I know you will turn out better, more inspired works as time goes on. Your latest Gorgon work appears to be no exception from what I've seen up to this point. Keep up the good work!

I don't know if it would help but there is this Italian porn director from the 90s named Mario Salieri. If you watch any of his videos, his sex scenes are not very long, some just 5 minutes or so. He builds up the situation, does some foreplay and then uses quick cuts between sex positions. And the action seems to get faster or more intense as it goes along. Always thought that formula works well with animations as well. It could be a good barometer to guage whether a particular scene works or not. Like using a template. Not his newer stuff though. That stuff is too drawn out imo.

Still, this is a long-term project and of course it will take a lot of time and effort ... Nevertheless, you are trying. Have patience and good luck will come to you immediately!

"I'm really bad at these long term things" why do you say that? I think your long videos are the best I could find online... By far!

Yes, all creative people sometime come to the peak when they begin to doubt what they have done)) But ... I'm sure you can figure it out easily

No problem, good luck

Don't question yourself too much. Dialoge is always good, everybody like different poses, longer videos are usually more fun. I think you should take your time and don't hurry to finish something that you like and will probably be better with some extra days of work =]

its good that you question everything, it shows a good level of intelligence, you should use your patrons more, one comment or idea could spark your creative mind down a path of enlightenment, and insight. has any creator done a twist of the magic roundabout, that would be entertaining and different, now while you are thinking of that ”boom” it could spark something completley different. “hello gorgon” said Lady Dimestrescu to gorgon..........
