Hey there, here are the first group of screen caps I'll be sharing from Gorgon's sex scenes.

It's going pretty well so far.  I'm happy with the poses and I haven't hit any major technical hurdles.  However the render times are quickly becoming a problem.  I expected to have an upgraded card by the time I needed it, but the extreme scarcity has made that pretty difficult.  I might just break down and buy a duplicate card at twice the original cost for SLI, but that wouldn't solve my VRAM bottleneck.

Ick.  I prefer software problems to hardware ones.

With the card shortage, it seems things won't ease up until nearly the end of the year or early 2022. Its a choice between buying current gen (or new cards if they can be found) and double or triple MSRP, or wait it out. Both options suck for professionals and system builders, and budget is the main factor. Also, rewarding scalpers for gouging the market when buying on markup is such a soul killer.

Wouldn't it still be cheaper to buy a prebuilt for the card? At least that would keep you around 1.4 k as apposed to over 2k? Plus having another rig to run stuff on eventually when things quiet down?

I like porn and all but wow what great environments and lighting. I mean, I always expect great environs from Nyl, but this is phenomenal. Particularly the giant statue. Also the Gorgon looks like she could be Lady D's long lost cousin judging by the muscles LOL. Not sure if Nyl comments on fan theories but I get the hunch that the Warrior showing genuine love and lust for the the Gorgon would free Medusa from her curse. And it would be passed on to the Warrior. What do you think? Am I close haha?

Pure awesomeness! The lighting is very nice. The Gorgon has a very Lady Dimitrescu size to her. Imagine THEM together in a room! I think that would be a tense situation.

Prebuilts are still a pretty poor proposition. Better to sit outside a Micro center a few mornings and dump all the cash into a card.

***You should look into buying the card third party, might not be the best but if you find a commendable company you won't have to pay the scalper price and let someone else do the searching for you. They usually buy multiples to fill orders and are in more direct contact with the vendors. It's what I did to secure a 3090.

Are 3090s as good as other top of the line cards atm? For 3d rendering I mean. Not sure if it's any different than 3d rendering in games but then again it seems like I've answered my own question

I don't know the situation with gpus and prebuilds in other countries, but in Russia Nvidia 3080 costs 4050$ and prebuild from MSI with Intel i9 10900K, 128 Gb RAM and RTX3080 costs 5350$ So the choice is obvious if you have money.

That is some damn nice lighting, damn nice models too, really looking forward to the completion of this, whenever we have something on this scale from you it's like waiting on a new movie or game, builds up that same level of excitement. Also fuck scalpers and miners.

Now this might be a cost issue as well but when I bought a new computer recently, I found that buying a prebuilt one solved the issue of getting a graphics card entirely, those shops generally dont have the issues as "over the counter" shops do.

A suggestion: switching from blender to unreal engine 5 for rendering will not speed up rendering of 3D scenes ??? ...

At this point i think he's hardware bottlenecked.. while different software do have better render engine than others, it'll still come back to his hardware. Dam those crypto miners

This is true, because some of those shops do have direct contact and they generally bulk order.. I've known persons who buy pre-built then sell the gpu (near new) for almost double the market price.

It really depends on the shot. It could take anywhere between 2 - 10 minutes per frame.

How much dialogue are we getting for this

Uh, I dunno really. There are like 5 minutes of intro and outro scenes, but not all of that is dialogue. There's also some dialogue during the sex which is going to be around 10 minutes.
