Perfect Home [v.1.7]: Patreon Edition (Patreon)

Meowdy! So, a lot of 2023 was really, really, REALLY eventful for me specifically-- it lead to a lot of the game's updates not being as rich in content as I would have liked. This year however, I'm feeling a lot more ambitious, and I'm planning on adding in a lot more content and mechanics per each update-- starting with this one!

It's focusing predominantly on another of those mechanics I've had in the game for forever but never really did anything with, inspired only partially by Cult of the Lamb and such, but since I was so ahead of schedule (and was admittedly feeling a little guilty for not adding as much in for the December update), I've taken the time to include a few other things, to start the year off in a positive trend. I'll be replacing some of the static images through the game with proper animations here and there, and I've also made a point to include another preference option at the desk, which will allow you to decide whether genders in random encounters are strictly male, strictly female, or randomized. This isn't going to apply to a lot of scenes yet, starting only with the heroes in the woods, but over time, with every update, I'll be progressively adding in more, so that the game isn't so strictly M/M focused.

Worship content itself is also something I'd really enjoy fleshing out more! At the moment, you can only use Worship to give yourself a week-long buff to stats and to trade it in for gold, but I'd really enjoy adding in a few more features including it. Summoning temporary servants, for instance!

That's it for now! The next update after this one was going to be updating and renewing the little Felicity side-game I made, but there's so much excitement regarding other content I've announced that I think I'll put it off for March instead, and spend February expanding on submission as a concept, since it's been in the game for so long despite not having a major function at all.

Oh, one more thing, as well! Starting with the next update, I'll be reaching out to a good local friend of mine to produce promotional art for every batch of content I release. It's just a small thing, but I think it'll be cute!

PATCH NOTES:

• A new room has been unlocked: the ritual room! After reaching 8 worship and finishing an encounter in the forest, you'll be able to build it right next to your bedroom.

• Gain worship through two new scenes in the ritual room!

• Spend worship for either gold or a week-long Power and Wisdom bonus.

• Three new scenes related to worship are out in the world after reaching 8 worship for the first time: two of them branching off of other pre-existing encounters in the forest, while a new scene has been added to town that also gains a new option after becoming a little cult-cat.

• A gender preference option has been added, which determines the genders of characters out in the world. You can set it to male preference, female preference, or random.

• Female variants of the random heroes in the forest (the snow leopard and the wolf) have been added!

• A counter for how many times you breed is now included in your dominant stats, tracked at your desk.

• An animation for mating presses is now in the game.
