Whew! I'm writing these patch notes a few days after Anthrocon AND moving into my new apartment at basically the exact same time. It's crazy how consistently I say these updates won't take much work, only for me to get hit with a MOUNTAIN of complications. Still, here's another one knocked out, and it's one that, despite being a little light on content, is HEAVILY overdue. Bug fixing and little quirks/quality-of-life adjustments that I HOPE should address a lot of feedback I've gotten/confusion I've seen, while also just making the game a lot easier to both play and add to.

My only gripe is that I didn't get the time to revise the servant menu quite in the way I hoped! I was really hoping I could do more with it, but RPG Maker 2003 is kind of annoying, with tight restrictions on what you can and can't do with its menus, meaning I have to basically build it from scratch in a way I'm not fully sure I know how to yet. The art that Ames whipped up for it is great, though-- it'll definitely be featured in a future update once life isn't keeping me so thoroughly preoccupied. For now, though, I'm gonna be moving away from the technical/meager side of things to focus on a bad-end route I'm REALLY excited for...

Fingers crossed I can get it all taken care of in time! Since this update came a week later than usual, you can expect the next one to drop closer to the 5th of August, though if it gets finished sooner than that I'll let y'all know. After THAT... well, I dunno! I have a lot of ideas-- expanding pollen addiction, adding in more gendered variants of characters/scenes, implementing worship content and all that I have in mind for it... I'll likely post a poll later and leave the direction I take up to y'all! For now, though, I hope you enjoy the fixes I've made to the game, and thank you all again for your support-- I really don't know where I'd be without it! 🧡


PATCH NOTES:

• Instructions on the controls can now be viewed at the beginning of the game, and in a book in your bedroom!

• You can now name your save files from your bed in the mansion!

• An annoying bug related to ruin expeditions, where returning to an expedition you started previously would black out your screen, has been fixed.

• You now have much more control over which scenes you encounter in different areas of the game-- some will still be randomized, but I've gone to lengths to try and keep things considerably less grindy or confusing. I'll slowly add more variations and new scenes alongside each update!

• You can now choose preferences from the desk-- Citrine's genetalia can be barbed or barbless, there's a toggle that shuts off the spider scene for arachnophobic players, and you can turn off scenes with armpit worship. More preference options will be added slowly over time.

• For Practitioner or higher patrons, the debug room has been expanded upon! It still needs some work admittedly, but it ought to give you some options specifically related to replaying the kitsune manor.

• Added in several new scenes! Not all of them are strictly kink-heavy, but I feel they flesh out a lot of the game. New content includes:
• A new hero encounter in the forest, in which Citrine pins down and grinds on a wolf knight's chest!
• Several short scenes for chopping timber in the forest!
• The pickpocketing encounter in town has been thoroughly revised! Hang off a tiger mercenary's arm, and possibly sneak off to service him after...
• Revisions to that one shrine corruption scene, which now features some new repeatable content!
• Corrupt ANOTHER shrine in the woods-- this one belonging to a haughty kitsune just BEGGING to learn its place...
• You can try your hand at a second game in the carnival now!
• After taking back your pack, the hounds take an evening to clean up the mercenary camp for you!
• Go on a hunt with the wolves for a day! Break in a warren of bunnies, or chase down a fox with your pack!
