My first let's play has arrived! We start with FTL, I'll be posting this in four parts, one every Friday at 10pm BST. After FTL I am moving onto Fallout 3!

I will post each part a week later on my second YouTUbe (which I need to make) as patreons you get these a week earlier than everyone else :D

UpIsNotJump Does Badly at FTL: Faster Than Light

I get set on fire several times and boarded by WAY too many people

That was enjoyable, but I would like to have time to read the text that comes up before and after encounters. To see what happens.

25 minutes and 30 seconds of awesome voice! Ever think about just doing live goofy play throughs? I figured that's basically what people do on twitch tho. Idk. Would save time nice having to edit lol.

'He's also got fire, but that's not that dangerous'. Didn't you see the Tip: FIRE!

Starting with a tough game. Brave! I look forwards to watching the vid.

Ooh and Fallout 3 to follow. That will be great! I've played 250-280 hours of that and I'm still not sure I've sound every location!

I quite enjoyed this, especially for a first attempt. I think your styles of let's plays should stick to the more calmer 'listen in the background' sort of area. Keep up the good work Matt!

This was so fun to watch!

UpIsNotJump

Yes, I moved a bit fast definitely, in the footage I recorded for the next episode I think I realised I was doing this started to give time and explain what it said, I've learnt my lesson!

UpIsNotJump

Agreed, I'm scared so keep putting it off, hopefully as I get better at this I will feel more confident

UpIsNotJump

Yeah! It's a bit more action based too so will be easier to play along live, I love that game.

Very pleasant to watch as an end-of-the-day vid... :) For those who were unaware, you can buy the FTL soundtrack for five US bucks/"name your price" and download it in a selection of HQ formats from the composer's bandcamp page. I highly recommend that you do so. :) https://benprunty.bandcamp.com/album/ftl

Hi Matt, what did you think of Bastion? Easy-to-follow gameplay, pretty visuals, great soundtrack... one to put on the list for a future video perhaps? [hint hint] Cheers mate.

Chris Talbot

Yeah, it had the "Indie" media and other gaming outlets swooning when it came out, for the soundtrack and reactive narrator dialog as much as anything else. Aside from that it's a cool story tied neatly together with some clever mechanics and nice artwork. Well worth checking out. I haven't played The Witness, I'll check it out, cheers.

UpIsNotJump

I mentioned it because I'm sure it's made by the same guy, it's a really interesting and difficult game

Fantastic! I look forward to it. So far it seems like a fun game to watch.

Steam Summer Sale coming up, hopefully they show some love to indie titles, old and new. :) EDIT: I keep liking your stuff on patreon and forgetting to go and click like on youtube... soz. Gonna go deal with that now. Cheers mate, ;)
