I realised it made most sense to actually record let's plays in bulk so as this is my 'game week', where I just play games to prepare for the script writing, I recorded a 2 hour run on FTL which was 90 percent me being totally fucked. I really think it'll be much fun you you all. I'm really happy with how it all turned out so I'll upload the first part this week! It may even be my first step into trying streaming...

We live and die by the RNG, and we wouldn't have it any other way. ;)

Gotta get your full value out of those mannequin parts, in ways that won't get you arrested...

I still haven't beaten the flagship on Hard, despite many runs at it. Maybe I should give it another go. But no, no.... That way madness lies.

I barely beat it on easy (yeah i suck), tried next difficulty, cried. But hey, it was a few years ago.

Nice! Can't wait to see you dying to space pirates.

The margin for error shrinks a hell of a lot with each jump in difficulty. On Hard you basically have to make every single decision the right way, and if you cop a bad roll on a random event (e.g. lose a crewmember early) or run into one of those bastard autoships with a combat drone in the first sector and get your arse kicked, you may as well just restart the run. On normal you earn just enough scrap from fights to allow one or two stupid mistakes, especially if you're playing the "Board and Slaughter" game rather than being a gunship. You still need to be really careful when spending the scrap on upgrades though, and you can always get a bad roll (or a couple in a row) which make it Restart time. I like FTL (and discussing FTL) quite a lot. :) Think I might go take another shot at the flagship... cheers!

Further shitpost because I'm bored but don't know what to watch next... (No Matt, that wasn't a dig at your release schedule. Looking forward to watching the LP though ;) ) Who the hell designs these clothing mannequins? Look at that hand/wrist on the right. That is a straight-up 90 degree right angle right there. That was three "rights" in two sentences but fuck it, I'm a bit drunk. It looks like an ankle. Except it's a hand. Human joints don't work that way, at least not without a hell of a lot of pain. What fucking weirdo designed that thing? (I know, I know, mannequins are basically just Clothes Racks From Uncanny Valley, but still... couldn't the manufacturer at least _try_ to model them in a vaguely realistic way? I mean... you'd think that would help their cause, right?)
