IIRC Noah is roughly half the size of Fishman Island. So it is truly massive. Think of it like a truck. Even a truck going at a relatively slow speed hitting someone will hurt them if not kill them.

Yes, the ship is around half of the size of Fishman Island, even if you do a comparison between the asteroid that extinguished the dinosaurs you could maybe get an idea of what would happen, and just FYI that asteroid wasn't even half size of the earth, was only between 10 - 15 kilometres wide, just making a comparison on proportions of the relative size of 2 object crashing with each other at a very high speed

I think the implication of the other fish citizens saying they would be "washed away" if the bubble popped is that it would hurt or kill them all regardless of whether they can breathe underwater. It seems they can stand the pressure, but there are things like sea kings out there too that they would be unprotected from. Or maybe the rush of water destroys everything inside Fishman Island including them. Lots of stuff that could go wrong. Scientifically speaking the sheer heat energy created by the pressure adjustment from something like that rupturing 10k meters underwater would instantly vaporize everyone inside, but seeing as how bubbles have been popping in deep sea without that happening Oda is clearly selective about his science haha. And yeah I have to assume the sheer mass of Noah hitting Shirahoshi would instantly kill her? Assuming she was hit by it while she was moving slower than it, but I'll get to that. I'm no mathematician but it's probably moving way faster than it looks like considering it's keeping up with Shirahoshi and mermaids are the fastest swimmers. IRL, Sailfish are the fastest swimmers moving at around 68 MPH, so imagine being hit by a boat of that size going that fast. Shirahoshi could probably swim just slightly faster than it and tap the ship to make it stop, but then the ship falls and is destroyed when it hits the seafloor or worse hits Fishman Island so she can't do that. She has to protect Noah, which makes this so much harder. Edit: Forgot Hordy is a psychopath and wanted the bubble popped. BUT it was after he was safely out of Fishman Island so what I said applies.
